After this trade, I don't see Rodgers coming to Pittsburgh. Even if he does, this team has enough decent players to not tank, and they'll finish 9-8 again, and be stuck in the mushy middle.
Calvin Austin is a decent #4 WR. Robert Woods is toast. Who knows what Roman Wilson is. If they're serious about this year, and Rodgers actually is coming, then you have to sign Keenan Allen. Yeah, he's older, but still had 70 catches and 6 TD's, compared to Pickens 59 catches and 3 TD's last year.
At this point, just go with Mason, don't bring in another WR, and just hope you lose as many games as possible. What a waste of a DK Metcalf trade.
The bizarre thing is that trading Pickens seems to have been the plan all along. Just plain bizarre.
I know and think this is a complete failure for the organization and especially Tomlin. When are they going to realize that Tomlin won't fix people with character problems? He's too weak.
