I thought we'd have a round done by now...I've been ready all day. Even got beerman, bhaw's and Troy loney's info to keep it rolling along.

I don't care for snake drafts in keeper leagues after the first year. But then again, my team stinks.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I tend to agree depending on the number of keepers. Six is sort of in an in between area. 4 I think is definite snake draft (12 teams' best 4 are going to be very close, so the advantage conferred on the bad teams is too great). 8 (next year in this league) I tend to think should be non-snake. 10 (2012), I will definitely advocate for a non-snaking draft at that point.

Where's it at Pitts? I actually don't have a pick decided on despite all this time, haha. I will do that now.

Seriously?? LOL - he was the best goalie on the table! And I needed a good one after being burned by Huet last year.Letang Is The Truth wrote:F you pitts
I just sent beerman a text.
EDIT: I thought beerman was up next -- he told me he's not -- sorry.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I spent about an hour and half late last night going through nhl.com rankings and just placing available players that I liked on a list. I at least have that so when my pick comes, I can take the best available left on my board.Kraftster wrote:Where's it at Pitts? I actually don't have a pick decided on despite all this time, haha. Looks like I made a smart pick with my first!

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
Good call. It isn't too bad now but with 10 keepers it would be tough to ever fix your team (hint to bhaw in the ESPN league - have mercy on the Kazaam!). The rookie rule (2 free ineligible rookie keeps for non playoff teams as opposed to 1) also helps a little.Kraftster wrote:I tend to agree depending on the number of keepers. It's actually not too late to change the draft order...jus' saying. I don't really mind dropping the snake idea.

I think we ought to look at it next year with 8 keepers for sure. I'd say we let it ride this year.

I'm obviously biased here in my support, but I think we should definitely consider it for next year.Pitts wrote:It's actually not too late to change the draft order...jus' saying. I don't really mind dropping the snake idea.

I have my picks. Who wants my picks if I take off? I have three players.

Take off? Are you leaving the country and giving your picks away? I'll take them.TheHammer24 wrote:I have my picks. Who wants my picks if I take off? I have three players.

Bah!! All I wanted was to be able to "welcome back" Nate Horton if Neal went. Boo.
Hammer, you wouldn't have taken EJ would you? I know Idoit wouldn't have...

Well, I have Green, EJ, Karlsson, Bogosian, so, I can focus on forwards for a loong time.

Nope. Stastny was the only guy in which I was interested other than these two after Corv and KS picked.Kraftster wrote:Bah!! All I wanted was to be able to "welcome back" Nate Horton if Neal went. Boo.

Two risky picks though. Those kind of moves paid off last year, we'll see about this one.
