and I didn't have a clear mind as to what was outstanding (distracted by office meeting) even though I had written down the hand as played (largely to avoid my earlier mistake of playing the same card twice).

Haha. If you had bid 7 Spades before I bid, I would have upped it to 8. I had four trump and only one Heart.

So we're lucky that we only lost 140 points. I would have put us down 240.

it was close, I chose to hold that K diamonds instead of the K hearts at the end.

I could have maybe made a 7 hearts bid, i guess it was just weird for me to bid red when I had both black bowers.

widow was 5H, 6C, 7H, QH & JH. Only reason I went for a bid was having the Joker and hoping for something good in the widow. I threw away the 5,6,7 + the 5D & 4C.
