Marlon Byrd went from goat to hero. Way to hustle there, Papi. Hard to run with a syringe in your back pocket.

Jose Bautista is the HR leader.
Matt Capps wins in the All-Star game.

Pirates are still in last.

Why the hell are they interviewing someone from the losing team? Shouldn't they be talking to McCann? Typical AL bias.

It is somehow fitting that Matt Capps is the winner.

On the plus side, neither of those two are actually good.

Blind squirrels are offended by being compared to Fogg.

Fogg personally had a big hand in the 2007 Colorado Rockies road to the World Series. People forget he has a .500 career record.

He was decent down the stretch that year but that was about it. The team was 10-13 in games he started heading into September and in 4 of his 6 starts in Sept/Oct he didn't last more than 5 innings. He only lasted 4 in the one game playoff against San Diego but was lucky the offense picked him up. That team was unconscious down the stretch and was winning no matter who took the ball.

They must forget about his .500 career record because he didn't have one.

Watching the all - star game and hearing the stats of those ballplayers, that is sadder than seeing the pirates day in/ day out. white sox have won 25 of their last 30 games, reds doing well; the long history of the pirates and they will never be in the play-offs again. sad.
