Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
Leighton going 2nd round--I'm glad I kept my three goalies.
Preliminarily, I still really like Krafster's team. I think EJ was taken early, but knabbing that extra keeper for Doughty and turning him into Hemsky and Spezza, he just kind of over-powers us at this state.
I'm not crazy about his goaltending, and I believe that is what cost him last year after his skaters dominating, but I'll call him the early favorite.
Also, I don't think KS and Corv's teams are as bad as they think.

Yeah-I'm not criticizing the move; I am just saying available goalies were sparse when the draft started.Letang Is The Truth wrote:And I have to try and get something with goalies I got hammered there lastbyear. Rinne helps tho

Keeping turco was a gamble for me. He might do very well with the hawks

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I have some good skaters but no defense and no goalies. I didn't even have a shot at a goalie because I was forced to take a rookie first overall because Hammer got burned w/ Malkin in a draft a few years ago.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
Yeah, I would have preferred to just keep Doughty and Spezza and one goalie, but, the way goalies were being kept, I felt I had to keep two. Now definitely glad I did.TheHammer24 wrote:Leighton going 2nd round--I'm glad I kept my three goalies.

EJ - yeah, probably a little early, especially because it cost me Neal and Horton my top two guys. Not crazy about going with Okposo there, but, wanted someone with the upside to work his way into a keeper slot. Still happy to have gotten EJ, though. I think he's going to be back on track this year and be up at 50 points. Defensemen are generally undervalued in this league so I probably could have been safe waiting, but, like I said, I was worried that you would take EJ (who I thought was the clear #1 dman out there given that he'd likely be a keeper for someone) because you kind of got burnt last year by ignoring defenseman, or at least you thought you were at one point I seem to remember you saying something.
Goaltending is still a bit iffy. I should be in much better shape next year with Markstrom having a Rask-like rookie sesason. I tried like hell to get Rask, by the way. Just couldn't get it done.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
The timing was just bad Kraftster. I was basically trading Rask and dropping either Cammalieri or Carter, so it was a steep price. If I had time to make another move, I could have made it work.
I'll possibly be open to moving a goalie once the draft is over, but we'll see.

Although I do like the prospect of my weakest of 3 goalies potentially being Vokoun.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I have a list from Troy Loney -- he said he'd be back sometime today, but with the picks already taken, I feel pretty safe picking for him -- should I? Or, do you want to wait for him?

If he gave you a top list and his instructions were clear, do it.

Okay, making his pick...like I said, it's a pretty easy pick from his list.
