Re: Restaurant Recommendations?
If you find yourself in West View, there is a small sandwich/mexican place where the Taco Bell was years ago called New York Subs. Not bad at all. Surprisingly run by a few young Chinese cooks.
Had a cajun cheesesteak and some cheese fries. Good stuff.

Re: Restaurant Recommendations?
went to the newly opened BRGR in cranberry tonight. stunned at how horrible i thought it was. the bun ruined my otherwise good burger. just the worst bun ever and the bun/burger ratio was off, the bun didn't taste fresh at all.
could not believe this is a "gourmet" burger place and they don't even serve fresh cut fries? unreal. my shake was pretty great though but its hard to screw that up.
for gourmet burgers BURGH'ERS in harmony/zelienople is far and away the best i've had around here. pretty bad location for most people though. all organic ingredients and everything is made from scratch.

Knivesofice, how was the service? Curious because the staff at the East Liberty location isn't always the friendliest. Neither is Pizza Sola on Penn Circle. I've tipped those jokers many times on a slice and a drink and they don't even engage you or thank you for the transaction let alone say thanks for the patronage not to mention tip.

Went to Sharpedge Creekhouse last night. I might seriously consider a bowl of their Hopdevil potato soup for my last meal. With a frosty Belgian ale as accompaniment of course.

service blew as well. we walk in and i can clearly see around 10 tables all over that are open, yet they say it will be a five to ten minute wait. waitress never even came back to ask how the food was, didn't refill my drink. i was pretty digusted with everything and just wanted to get out of there, definitely won't be back.

Not recommending but my wife wants to try it since she loves barbeque. It's Fat Jimmy's BBQ on Route 422 about a mile outside of New Castle (heading towards Butler). Saturday's specials: steak fry, frogs legs, gator tail.

Knives same thing happens at the Penn Circle one with drinks and slow service despite empty tables. Also BRGR doesn't do takeout for some weird reason.

Re: Restaurant Recommendations?
Went to Burgatory in Waterworks tonight. Waited an hour, but only because Trixie the Hostess with the Leastess entered my cell number incorrectly into the electronic queuer. Other than that, food was good. Had the bison burger with smoked gouda, Angel rub, avocado, bunch of peppers on herbed foccacia. Also had PB&J milk shake. Mrs. E had a regular burger with onions and mushrooms; little E had the sliders. Onion rings were very good.
Minus the unecessary wait, I'd go back, but it wasn't quite as good as I was expecting. Plus side was that the waitress did a good job.

Is that some sort of pun on the idea that no one ever leaves the city?
