I have no information or link. Just a gut feeling - I think he's staying. All signs point to that.

That's what I heard and Mort is usually right when it comes to coaching changes.

BWI got trolled so bad, repeating a rumor that Penn State had fired O'Brien. It came from a fake tweet made to look like from a real reporter.

(PSU has no reason to do that - if he's leaving, that's 6.5M buyout money they'd cost themselves)

Lol, remember when "FIRST!!!" was a thing on the internet? How long until that phase passes in the media?

+1. I think he's actually a step up from O'Brien (in the coaching department). That said, I have little faith in this administration to get him or anyone like him. I can see a lazy Schiano hire.

Interesting that you put a Schiano hire like that, Toews. I feel the same way. He's become a big name. But what kind of name, anyway?

I don't believe everything I read on the net, of course, but I've read more than a few times that Schiano is building a rep as a bully and arsehole. If true, then PSU football certainly doesn't need a volatile personality running things.

This has little to do with money and lots to do with the NFL being his primary target from the get go.

I don't have a problem with BOB leaving but if the reports of him telling the players he isn't leaving are true and he does leave, well that's f"ed up. I just want BOB to be honest with the players.

I've always thought BOB was different and wouldn't have a problem with him leaving quickly. He knew what he was getting in to and handled it graciously. He seems like a hell of a recruiter too. But I really hope he isn't lying to the players. HE is the sole reason a lot of guys are coming here. If he leaves, that will sour a lot of players I think.

I was listening to WFAN (in NYC) last night and one of the news segments was about ____ ______ (I have no idea who it was) possibly being considered for the Penn State job.
Make of that, what you will.

There's no doubt that BOB is an NFL-caliber coach, but I would like it if he stayed through one complete recruiting cycle (meaning first recruiting class all the way from freshman through senior years). So in actuality that would be like five years.

Yep... sounds like they will announce later in the week. He probably wants to make sure he contacts each recruit and player. Right way to do it.
