And of course Graves with as weak a defensive play as can be gives the Blues the second chance for the OT Goal.

Letang has every right to bark about that terrible call.

Great screen by him! Just scratch him and play Koly.

Tomasino with only 8 minutes. Coach doesn’t like the player.

Nieto being played over these kids for most of the year is absolute mismanagement.

I'd like to take this opportunity and congratulate the youngins Rutger McGroarty on his 1st NHL goal, assist and 1st multiple point game! I'd also like to congratulate Ville Koivunen on his 1st NHL assist and point!

I just can't believe how management is stunting the growth of these kids! It's an absolute travesty that they are up here scoring key goals for this trash team!

The potential from McGroarty and Koivunen was on display especially late.Skill and Energy was great to see.
Graves and Letang were terrible Defending all night.Graves specifically in the 3rd Period and OT.The guy cannot play.
Jarry was bad.He was slow to react on 3 of the Blues Goals.Looked tentative a lot of this game.
Rakell had a strong Offensive Game, many chances along with his PP Goal.
Acciari,Heinen and Hayes with Zero positive impact on the Ice.Nothing gained when they are out there.

So so happy for this team. Playing together, pushing until the very end, clearly building something special.

Give MS credit, he played RMG and VK in the last minute to secure a tie. I never thought I would see that, never!

Happy for the kids, for McGroarty goal and assist and Koivunen for also assist. Too bad we didnt loss in regulation, but ok.. Still hopeful we remain in bottom eight for best possible D.P.

You ok? Thought you would be lamenting the lost opportunity of losing in regulation.

Maybe the hockey gods are with us and the lottery ball falls in our favor and the Bruins get punished.

Nah, they'll draft 9th and Desoyners goes 8th. :fist:

There are two camps here.
1. Tank
2. Play to win the game.

I'm fully in on never giving up and playing until the clock hits 0:00.

That said, the one galvanizing thought we can all agree on is: Why were these kids brought up sooner? The energy is 100% palpable. That's not on Dubas. That's on Sullivan. It's my belief that Dubas laid the law down and told Sully not only to play them but also for meaningful minutes. No way happened organically with Sully.

I think I've arrived at the ''acceptance'' stage regarding a good pick this season.

Yeah, we'll just miss out on such a player I believe. It's frustrating but looking at our schedule as opposed to teams right above and below us, I expect 10th or 11th now. BOS has lost 10 in a row, Isles six in a row. Ducks have a tough schedule, beyond our next game pretty easy schedule.

I would like the kids to continue to progress and we lose close games in regulation.

I've been a proponent of wanting them to get the best possible draft pick...but honestly, I'm starting to shift gears a bit. My expectations for RMG and Koivunen for next year were 3rd liners, with maybe an occasional top 6 deployment. It's early. It's only a handful of games, but both are showing me that they are top 6 capable. You can see the skillset they have when they are on the ice.

RMG is a well rounded player. He has a high hockey IQ and is very good defensively. Sullivan has even said he would give RMG more time on the PK, but he has to be mindful of his minutes....he's a young guy new to the NHL. He's playing top 6 minutes, and PP time. Sully wants to use him sparingly on the PK right now to not overload him. I think that is a smart idea. My hope for McGroarty is he becomes Bryan Rust 2.0 in terms of being a great two-way player who can get 20-25 goals, 50-60 points.

Koivunen has a great shot, good speed, and good IQ. I'm not saying he will get to this player's ceiling, but I almost think Koivunen has Guentzel type production. A speedy shooter in Sullivan's system.

I'm more encouraged watching these 2 play, and I think they will be a big step in this team getting younger and back to contention quicker.

It will continue to, unless Yager develops into a good 2C or weak 1C.

That happens we might still have egg on our face.
