I'm not saying post timing equals red.

I just think it's odd that people who maybe have 2 posts all game and haven't really contributed to any sort of conversation show up when they're mentioned.

If you're going to read the thread, you might as well add something as to not come across as trying to lurk and hope other people mess up.

it was more of a general comment, than anything else.
I've seen it used any number of times to, well, limited results.

Part of the reason my vote is on CBear - his vote for canaan day 1 was based on canaan posting close to the write-up. CBear voted just AFTER I pointed out that theory was 3x more likely to turn up a green, which it did.

you could still be red, as you didn't directly kill shaf. Unless reds can't visit the sloogery

Build on what teib said, just because it didn't kill you doesn't necessarily mean you AREN'T red, it just means the slug didn't kill you (unless you know more about the hot potato than we do)

Fair enough, I was working on the assumption that only blues got a package.

The only thing I know about the hot potato is that it could explode at any time and it would be passed until explosion. It didn't provide any further insight.

To be clear, I think he was some kind of indie character who could one way or another, and then presumably canaan (or some other town doctor) "cured" him turning into a vigilante. Given past history with these games, I have no idea what he is now or whose side he is on. Him passing to shad is either (1) an aggressive red move or (2) more likely, an indie -- at least at that time -- move because he didn't know what shad was (and as an indie, if he was when he passed, it doesn't matter who dies, so long as someone dies).

See above -- I really don't know what he is now. The writeup indicates vigilante, so I assume not red at minimum, but I can't be 100% sure given these games.

I wouldn't vote for Crankshaft now, so not entirely. I don't think the village can trust him given the history and his obviously unique role.

When I passed the potato, I didn't have the info from canaan I do now, so then, yes it would probably fall in that bucket.

And if he is the green vig, then let him fire away and see if he nets a red. The vig is down the list from the angel and seer, so its not the end of the world. But I probably would be hard pressed to vote for him now. I also assume that the seer saw him and knows what he is, and may see him again, so that info, assuming the seer makes it out, will come out in any event.

And no, this is not a disguised role claim, I am not the seer.

What does canaan's role claim have to do with using the package and then passing the potato? It all happened way before that.
