i thought they gave MAF off yesterday so he'd be ready for today. Guess it wasn't enough. OH well it's tough but we all knew it had to end sooner or later to bad it was today.

Really a terrible game goaltending-wise on both sides. It's just a shame to see us lose the streak on that goal.

It's over. The streak is over.
It was bound to happen. It happened against another hot team, on the road, after four games in six days.
Time to regroup for later this week and start another one.

Fleury was screened...almost got it..
Not an excuse, he wasn't screened so badly that he couldn't see it at all.
That was a total misplay.
Rough go for him.

Why is it that everytime Crosby goes off on his one man shows that they ALWAYS seem to score? Does everyone just stand and watch or what? This is ridiculous.

Figures. Sid works his but off in the offensive zone, only to have the Isles get weak goal up the other way. So much for the tight officiating of earlier in the game. Shame to have the streak end this way,.

not a great performance today, but after that streak, i have to say it feels very nice to be surprised by a loss. the past few years, a game like today's would've been expected, and only one in a string of many...

You're right, it wasn't total, but that's why he got only a piece of it instead of the whole thing.

Mark Eaton is playing now like Mark Eaton. Terrible to throw a streak away from ineptitude. Fleury's playing with his head up his ass. Horrible. The Islanders did nothing to earn a win. Totally given away.

That was a pretty soul sucking loss, but you could just see that goal coming.

Well, I uess the silver lining is that Shero now has no reason not to uprade the team with trades this week.

He's been rested enough. What you're saying is he should be benched, but that's not the message you want to give your star goalie. He's got to keep playing and playing to get through this little funk of his.

If I'm MT, I go right back with Fleury next game.
