I just read that nhl2k10 on Wii will have classic controller support... my interest in the game just shot through the roof. Now if only EA would port NHL10... The controls in nhl2k9 made the game unplayable... among a few other giant pet peeves.
I am mostly stoked for Guitar Hero V at the moment though... the hardware advancements on Wii and the export of World Tour and Smash Hits really changed my outlook from meh to
I've mostly been playing through the Rock Band 1 songs now that I have them exported. I shocked myself and managed to gold star some songs I thought I might not even beat on expert. I am scared to death of Green Grass and High Tides though...

You know if you buy GH5 at launch you can get GH:Van Halen for free via a mail-in redemption. Here are the details about it.
So I've been playing Tiger Woods 10 and i've noticed that in career mode it rains 3/4 of the tournaments with 15mph winds. anyone else have this problem?

Yeah, I did if I wasn't connected online and using the default settings that came up, but if I was online and using the real time weather settings it was ok.

you can also change the weather slider to alter the conditions. atleast you could in 08
real time weather settings? I am not big on golf games, but that is so made of win!
Its actually a really fun game. Also i started my pga season on random weather so i guess i'll have to wait until the next one to change it to real time. this constant rain is awful though, how did that slip by them in development??

Yeah, it's awesome, it's synced up with the Weather Channel and you get to play in the conditions that the location you are playing currently has. The only difference is if you're playing at night, you still play in daylight which kinda bummed me out

Yeah I am a HUGE fan of that...what a brilliant idea. I am also a big fan of the tournament challenges. I tried to play a live tournament last night...explain to me how players are shooting 28 under par!? I used to shoot 51 or 52 on the old Tiger Woods game, but I feel like to shoot a 44 you have to hole like 7 or 8 shots from 100-200 yards.
Also, I like to use the right joystick on the 360 to actually drive the ball. I will change the settings and everything is fine in Career mode, but the minute I try to play a match on Live, it forces me to drive with the left joystick (which I suck royally at). Is there a separate set of options for Live or something? It doesn't let you change it in-match.

I love the tournament challenges, more fun than just the tournaments imo because once you get to a certain point you can win every tournament way too easily. People online are ridiculous I played a tournament online once and the scores were so out of whack I just quit people have too much time on their hands.
I'm not sure about that I have PS3 and it's all on the left by default, idk if it can be changed to the right stick or not but I'm so used to it on the left I'd probably suck changing it.
Secret of Mana... never played it so I figured I'll give the ROM a go.
Great, great choice. I love using the old Super Nintendo emulators. Probably my favorite RPG of all time (before I played Fallout 3) was Chrono Trigger for SNES...what a game.
That is a sweet deal. My wife and I managed to get two guitars, GH II, III, World Tour, and Aerosmith for under $80 (long story). Although now she has started to consistently beat me on hard....how am I supposed to beat 90%+ every time

That does sound awesome.
I kicked some butt on Lego Star Wars last night. The wife went to bed early so I just sat there and played. I purchased all 14 blocks, got all 6 bonuses stages complete, and I'm just have the 2 Episode 2 bonus and the Super Story to beat to get episode 2 100% complete. I'm about 36% of the way through.

awesome, I think I'm only about 6% done I usually only play that if the gf is around though, she loves the lego games for some reason.

Chrono Trigger is good, don't get me wrong, but I've never liked the lack of conventional towns.
I still think pound for pound that is my favorite game. Maybe Ocarina of Time, but it is one of my top two.
Either of you ever play "The Minish Cap" for Game Boy Advance? Same 2D style as Link to the Past and similar quality graphics (probably a little better). Fantastic game, so if you should go find a GBA emulator (or a GBA or DS) and get to town. I believe that's the only regular 2D Zelda after the SNES.

Loved the Minish Cap...i also thought Link's Awakening for Game Boy was a vastly underrated game. Loved Ocarina of Time, hated Majora's Mask with a burning passion. Also liked Wind Waker, even though some people hated it. Thought the graphics were awesome for Game Cube

I know what game you are talking about, but I never played it. I never owned the handheld games. I think I had a original gameboy for a little while, but I lost it.
