Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
What exactly does Colony do? Whats his title? Does he produce the morning show? I don't think other than the 20 minute updates he talks enough to be considered a co-host. It just got me thinking because today they were talking about the ending to Saturday's game, and he was saying he took the elevator down to the locker room and heard the commotion that the game wasn't over yet. I know he get soundbites from the locker rooms after games, but he's not a writer or reporter or anything is he?

Would Benz really leave Pittsburgh for 6 months and relocate back here again?

He's a reporter first and foremost. He's in the locker room more than anyone else at the FAN.

What is the worst possible lineup for the morning show?
Since I don't listen to it, that would be ideal.

I know Benz is a classified "pip-squeak" and he's unlikable, but I really enjoyed him and Bob on the X morning show. They just never bothered me. Id take him back over most of these guys.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
I wouldn't mind Benz either, I think that would be better than their choices. Dunlap doesn't work in the mornings, Mueller (he was so much better on the late shift) would just complain and complain about having to get up so early and not able to drink beer and Poni is just....blech. I guess they would really have to pay Benz to bring him back.
It seems like when it gets to a certain point in the morning like after 8AM (when I usually listen) it sometimes turns into a Morning Zoo type show and I just turn it off.

Heard at least 3 hosts today be all like "ZOMG GRUDEN KEPT SAYING ROTHELLSBERGER"
Still waiting to hear about the torture that is Edzo and Pasquale Dupuis.

I have to turn the FAN off after two minutes. I have no idea what they were talking about, but it's just such awful radio....and, no, they are not funny or clever.

This morning they were apparently going to discuss if Michael Strahan is sexy.

I like the first few pages of this thread where some thought the FAN would only last a few months. Almost 6 years later, it is still around. Sometimes I can't believe it either.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
Who's the guy with the nasally voice that does commercials & voice overs on the clear channel stations? Can't believe how he keeps a job with that nasal pitch and western PA accent--like nails on a chalkboard to me.
