Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
The Cam Fowler situation is a great example of why we should have that slot that allows a DTD guy on. Out for the season but the Ducks have no reason to use IR with expanded rosters. A potential keeper for me, so I'm forced to waste a roster spot throughout the playoffs.

Boo hoo...if we are going to continue on with byes...which i am still against...We need to eliminate the pointless division system.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
lol, well I'm fine to address all nonsensical rules at one time.
Of my other two leagues, one has division winners as top two seeds, one does not. It is an arbitrary rule, but H2H is inherently arbitrary, so adding additional arbitrariness doesn't seem like the end of the world to me. In the league that has division winners, we've had the divisions for 6 years now, so there is a good bit of history and rivalry among the top teams in the divisions.
In that same league decided we did not want to take 8 teams for the playoffs anymore a couple years ago. We did 6 teams with 2 byes one year, but a lot of participants, including me, were not crazy about byes. This year, we went with a compromise approach and took 7 teams into the playoffs. The top team gets a bye and then plays the lowest winning seed from the 3 round 1 playoff match ups. We've already talked about eliminating division winners next year since we are sticking with the 7 team playoff system.
The IR/DTD situation makes less in my mind because we have a rule allowing IR players to go in an IR slot. The point of such a rule seems to be allowing teams to replace players with long-term injuries instead of playing a man down.

hooray... I win the first round and get to play Kraftster. May 1000 injuries plague your roster, sir.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I have him in my ESPN keeper and ESPN allows you to put him on IR. They have him listed as "out". Not sure why Yahoo is that different.Kraftster wrote:The Cam Fowler situation is a great example of why we should have that slot that allows a DTD guy on. Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I just did a final check on all the games played for these guys and updated who lost eligibility. Let me know if you think i'm wrong though. Also whenever someone wants to let me know who their rookie keepers are, let me know so i can update this so its easy to reference when setting up the kept players next draft.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
Mine are good.
With rookies who are losing eligibility, you can keep 1 (without using one of your 10 keeper slots) if you make the playoffs, and 2 if you do not?

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
How about a rule that you get to keep 2 rookies if you win the league 3 years in a row?

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I'll keep Crosby, Sedin, Sedin, Oshie, Wheeler, Subban, Byufglien, Howard, and St Louis.
That leaves one keeper spot open. I could trade a keeper for two top 50 guys to fill out my roster. Otherwise I'll keep Mason

BUMP: is it time yet to start conversation for this up-coming season? Looks like we need a new owner for Azkar's team.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I have serious doubts I'll be able to participate in the draft the way we've been doing it (without pissing everyone else off). I rarely have time to check the board even once a week during the day. If you guys can find someone for me, that would probably be a good idea.

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
What if we were able to use a seperate site that we made picks thru similar to how it is done now however it emails you with each pick, who the pick was, the next three upcoming picks and then when your pick is up it sends you a seperate email? That way info gets pushed to you real time

Re: LGP Fantasy Hockey Keeper League
I check this site more often than I check my email. Probably by a factor or 10. Those are hockey offseason figures.
