Morning host of CBS Sports Radio's national show.

He already hosted a weekend show with them, so he already had one foot out the door. He was the Fan's best talent though.

Ugh, wonder if Dunlap will adjust his style or gimmick for the morning.
IF that's what happens, you should hear a "different" Dunlap - at least to some degree. Quite a bit different doing a 1-person show at night than a morning show. Give him a chance; you might be surprised.

I will not listen to Dunlap's annoying, condescending voice in the morning.

Chris Mueller was much more enjoyable and less petulant when he did overnights. Maybe it will work the reverse way with Dunlap.

This just popped into my head yesterday but is calling it "Cook and Poni Show" intentionally some sort of play on the phrase "dog and pony show?"

This right here. That morning host selection has turned me off all together on The Fan. I'll listen to repeats on 105.9 HD2 before I ever listen to anything Dunlap has to say in the morning.

I hate to say it too, with benz leaving and the X killing the morning show, there's no real competition. I personally don't like DVE, so that kinda bites.

The DVE Morning Show has become weird. Since Paulsen left they don't seem to have many comedy bits and when they do one they're not funny. Prisuta is only on-air for his sports updates and no longer interacts during the rest of the show. Bill Crawford is still employed.

I'm not a fan of Crawford on the air, but he puts on a great stand-up show

I stopped listening to DVE when Krenn left. I never cared for Paulsen, had no idea he left either.

Baumann was out last week and Crawford seemed more comfortable doing the show on his own instead of being the sidekick.

Baumann and Prisuita don't care for one another due to differing political and social beliefs, and it sometimes manifests. Crawford and Randy have good chemistry, but somewhere along the line the station left the show to Baumann and Crawford as Val and Mike don't talk except for their news and sports pieces.

I like Crawford, he is a good guy, Randy too. I have a hard time listening to Billy Gardell and the guy from Sullivan and Sons, neither of which I find funny. I watched one episode of S&S and it was unwatchable.

I actually enjoyed Dunlap this summer on Bucco Talk; saturday mornings 8-11am on Sports Radio 93.7 da Fan. So maybe theres hope, but pairing him up with 2 other people and the FM Morning Comedy Zoo they want that show to be, I can't see it being very good. Stinks too because like someone else said, their isn't anything else at that time of day, and I'm going to be working during the mornings for the first time in a long time, and I just can't do national. Instead of the white noise apps, I usually fall asleep to late night National radio shows.

Maybe I'm just easy to please but I really love the DVE morning show. I listen everyday and what you're saying about Prisuta and Val just simply isn't true. Everyone speaks to one another and the sullivan and son guys are awesome. I don't care for the show but when they're in studio, it's very funny

I hear Val on all the time, but Prisuta only comes out of his closet for sports updates and when they have on sports personality on for an interview. I love Billy Gardell and Steve Byrne.

I stopped listening to DVE when Paulsen left the first time. It was the same yinzer jokes over and over, and while at one time DVE was known as a one of the top AOR stations in the country, it had become the classic rock station playing the same tunes from the same artists over and over and over and over................

If it wasn't for them carrying Steeler games, there wouldn't be a preset for DVE in my car

Exactly. Dunlap was decent there because it was a single, serious topic for the show with the Bucco talk. The morning show is the complete opposite of that. This morning at 8:30 they were reading click bait headlines on Facebook and Yahoo Sports. If I want that, I would listen to 93.1 or 100.7 not the sports talk station. I know they probably want to do a "light" show in the mornings and it is hard to fill four hours, but WTF?

Dunlap has a different style than GG so we will see how "funny" the morning show will be.

Of all the dumb things dumb people who host dumb radio shows do on twitter, the daily retweet slap fight Starky and Mueller have over who won their draft is definitly the dumbest.

Joe wins the draft
Mutton wins the draft
Joe in a landslide
Muttons draft killed joes

It'd be something else if it were two or three retweets, but each of them do like 50. Who the F cares?
