I stopped listening to DVE when Paulsen left the first time. It was the same yinzer jokes over and over, and while at one time DVE was known as a one of the top AOR stations in the country, it had become the classic rock station playing the same tunes from the same artists over and over and over and over................

If it wasn't for them carrying Steeler games, there wouldn't be a preset for DVE in my car
DVE was playing the same songs over and over 30+ years ago. I listened briefly as a friend of mine had befriended the dj Max who was on the air in 1980 or so. From what I remember, Max came back from break and noted that another child had been killed by the Atlanta child killer (aka Wayne Williams) as a lead in to Queen's Another Bites the Dust. :face: I'm pretty sure he was fired the next day.

Yes

And Smizik, FWIW, seems to think they may syndicate Dunlap's spot because it's usually interrupted anyhow with Pitt, Pirates, and national games. Makes sense on the surface.

CBS Sports radio feed, I'm sure.

Ferrall On The Bench comes on at 10 PM. Some don't but I like his show.

Love Ferall. Haven't heard him in a while, but I'd be in favor of this.

It'd be something else if it were two or three retweets, but each of them do like 50. Who the F cares?
That draft stuff is so overdone. One or two times is fine but it is just too much. Why can't they just talk sports? Who did they survey that said they need this useless filler? I'll just stick to Madden and TribLive Radio as much as I can. I will still tune in to the Fan occasionally to listen to the morning show train wreck.

Stan Savran being taken to task by Channel 2 news for using I Can't Breathe reference in relation to suffocating Hockey defense, for which he went on to apologize.

Just catching up on the comment and story. Yeah he shouldn't have said it, he knows that and shows remorse. If there's anyone who deserves a "he apologized, let's forget it and move on" it's Stan.

This. The guy has been great for decades. He made a mistake. He acknowledged it. Move on.

Haven't been able to read it all due to being at work, but are Madden and DK fighting with that ESPN Reporter Britt Mchenry on twitter?

I don't get this hatred for this reporter...

Is it because she's hot, works for ESPN, and covers the NHL?
Is Madden and DK pissed that this girl might get a 1-on-1 with Crosby stealing their thunder?

This is why our media is horrible. These 2 clowns are pieces of trash.

I was trying to piece it together and found a tweet from someone telling DK it was bold of him to take shots at her without tagging her name, and to get off his high horse. To which I was stunned because its not like DK to ride a high horse about anything. :pop: :pop: :slug:

I dunno ESPN doesn't give 2 **** about hockey and they only sent a reporter here because the best player has a weird illness. Think about that, ESPN doesn't cover much hockey and it takes the mumps to get a reporter from them to talk to the best player in the league. They don't hesitate to talk about Durant, Manning, *insert good baseball player* but hockey is usually regulated to top 10s. The anger should have been directed at ESPN not at the reporter.

They are called "TMZSPN" for a reason.

They are probably upset that ESPN doesn't really care about the NHL but then suddenly some non-hockey related item is happening to a high profile player on a recognized team and then they care and want to come on site and do an interview. I guess probably some "expose" story angle. Why not cover the Penguins and their level of play this season especially with the injuries and after a new GM and coaching staff? Nope, its because of the mumps. I assume that is why they are upset. That and the reporter's attitude.
