Qadry Ismail just laid down the best, most nonsensical interview I've heard in years.
Sports talk radio can be draconian. This was anything but that. Tremendous

He actually now works for Entercom - WEEI - but his CC contract makes him unavailable in Pgh until a year after he left.Bioshock wrote:Benz works for Clear Channel and is now in BostonDickie Dunn wrote:He is noticeably bad at managing a show with multiple people. GG excelled at that. Mueller is a jag but decent at it. Poni sucks but is better than Dunlap. I thought they should have brought Benz back.pens9192 wrote:There just seems to be no flow to the morning show with Dunlap taking over as host. Just all over the place. It will be scary to hear what he will talk about when there is a dead zone in sports stuff going on.

Will qadrys lasting legacy be "raghib's brother"? What a sad fate.Letang Is The Truth wrote:I think we should all feel a little more fortunate Qadry Ismail is not on pittsburgh airwaves

Good thing he has a famous brother, otherwise it would be "attended the same college as Andrew Filiponi."canaan wrote:Will qadrys lasting legacy be "raghib's brother"? I didn't listen to it, because I don't hate myself that much, but last night The Fan debuted their new weekly Monday night hockey show, featuring Chris Mueller, Rob Rossi, Jason Mackey, and Robert Bortuzzo. Sounds just unbelievably awful. For Borts' sake I hope he gets traded before the Mueller/Rossi combination inspires some form of self-harm.

Fan programming meeting: " Hey you know that guy we hired who won the contest at that old station- does not really like hockey much and loves the NBA? Let's have him host our new hockey show!"Dickie Dunn wrote:I didn't listen to it, because I don't hate myself that much, but last night The Fan debuted their new weekly Monday night hockey show, featuring Chris Mueller, Rob Rossi, Jason Mackey, and Robert Bortuzzo. Wow they couldn't have come up with a worse hockey round table of they just picked names out of a hat.
Had the pleasure of hearing Da Fan Morning Shows new hit segmet this morning where Dunlap and Miller name celebrities that have birthdays today and try to guess how old they are. That's perfect for 8am drive time on a sports talk station

One thing I have noticed about Poni: for every person whom he disapproves of (which is nearly everyone), he takes the tone as if they have **** his GF.
And we know he likes to talk about having a GF.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
I will sheepishly admit I actually started to like his 6PM show on my drive home. That time slot suited him a lot better. He knows he has to change his tone and manner on a morning show, and right now he's seemingly overcompensating. He's also adapting to working with two other people as opposed to solo, and you can tell he is talking over Miller, and that Colony is talking much less. I'll give him a month or two to see how he does.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
I pissed off Dunlap the other day on twitter by making fun of him always going out of his way to use European terms and style. He posted something with a date in it and wrote (day-month-year) and I just said We get it Dunlap, u like Europe. Nobody writes like that. And he shot back "I DO. SO DID MY FATHER. ALWAYS HAVE IF U DONT LIKE IT THEN UNFOLLOWWWWWWW"

Was a solid third option when burnt out by the stupidity of The Fan and the growing lack of humor from DVE.FreeCandy44 wrote:Tim Benz is on the X right now. I still miss Tim & Bob in the morning.
