I find it funny that every time I give The Fan a listen in the morning it sounds like Colony and Miller are so fed up with anything Dunlap has to say. It really makes for cringy radio when it sounds so forced.

For instance, the random bit I heard was Dunlap saying they should host a hottest girl in the burg contest. Colony immediately goes "yea with two married middle aged guys, that's going to go so well" in the most "I'm tired of what this guy says" attitude.

Its not good chemistry right now at all. And I liked Dunlap's evening show when he was on by himself. He seems really miscast in a morning show role.

It's a big jump going from a solo show to managing a show with multiple people. Giannatti was excellent at it. Mueller, despite all his annoyingness, transitioned to it pretty well, which is why I thought he might get a shot at the morning show.

The Fan doesn't have the talent to do two rush hour shows, nor does Pittsburgh sports offer enough content for them.

I think that's part of the problem, Dunlap has always done a show by himself and hasn't yet adjusted to working as part of a team.

He's less of a professional than GG was, having started out as a newspaper man who fell into radio. Stuff like the birthday game - amateurish. He can't get the best out of Miller like GG could, and poor Colony is probably thinking that Madden was better to work with. Not to mention how does he still have a job after physically threatening John Phillips and singlehandedly destroying the Fan text line (an easy way for hosts to get opinions and fodder to fill their time) by threatening those that dissented and didn't agree with him by calling them after his show ended?

I think theres at least something to this. It seems like every other day or so Dunlap goes out of his way to respond to anyone on twitter that says they don't think Colony likes him, and he quotes their tweets so everyone can see him reply "No, were good friends!" Maybe theres nothing to do, but I've never seen Colony do the same and refute it

Having three pro teams and a university in one of the power five conferences doesn't provide enough content for one station? I beg to differ.

The content isn't the problem, it's their schtick and mind numbing hosts like Filliponi, Dunlap, Cook and Mueller that's the problem.

The Dude was Dunlups source when he wrote an article that WVU was going to the SEC 4 years ago!
