Adaptation was pretty boring, but kaufman does do some decent work.shmenguin wrote:Charlie Kaufman is a genius. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is pure brilliance.meecrofilm wrote:So.... Being John Malkovich? Pretty great flick IMO. I like movies that really make you think about state of mind, souls, etc.

Of course. Somehow, I didn't even think of Shaun.
Check out Return of the Living Dead, if you haven't. It's the origin of zombies saying, "BRAAAINS."
And, of course, World War Z and the Zombie Survival Guide (both by Max Brooks) are must reads.

Re: Movie
i've seen return of the living dead. it's been a while, but i seem to remember hating it. Return of The Living Dead 3, however...
Last truly great 100% practical makeup horror film.

Highly, highly recommend Planet Terror if you liked RLD. Intentionally teeters on the edge of cheese, but maintains awesomeness.Tybrus wrote:Return of the Living Dead is awesomely bad in a good way.nocera wrote:What's number one? Re: Movie
I finally, thanks to HBO, maybe Showtime, dont recall, got to see the whole Grindhouse, with all the previews and mid movie skits, fantastic set of movies!!!! I read maybe 2 years ago RR was working on a Sin City 2, anyone hear this? Or anything about it?IrishEyes wrote:Planet Terror was incredible.Eismann wrote:Highly, highly recommend Planet Terror if you liked RLD. Re: Movie
Went back to the theater to watch the rest of FROZEN, and it was already gone. It's only playing at ONE theater in all of Los Angeles. It lasted all of one week.
So, we saw Wolfman instead and man what a turd. The first third of it was actually really fun, but it took a quick nose dive into horrible. It did inspire me to rent the original, though.

wolfman was bad? I didn't have high expectations for it since it's been on the shelf for like 2 years. The comercials looked pretty cool, though. too badnocera wrote:Went back to the theater to watch the rest of FROZEN, and it was already gone. It's only playing at ONE theater in all of Los Angeles.
