Can’t blow a third period lead when you blow it early in the 2nd. Sullivan is smart.

Pens have to be close to a record of blown 2+ goal leads this season.

ESPN Tax Act commercial tells me there are two certainties in life, death and taxes. Could have sworn Penguins blowing 2 goal leads was going to be one of the answers.

Team plays terrified any time they get a 2+ Goal lead.DelPen wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 8:16 pmPens have to be close to a record of blown 2+ goal leads this season.
This happened down the stretch last year as well.Coach clearly didn't feel the need to address it.

Chad and Graves think they play for the Pirates not calling off a pop up to shallow center.

Well let's be honest. They aren't making the playoffs so given the 1st they have to give up this year or next to SJ... would you rather they do worse now or not so they could have a better pick?

If you really want to play Eller as a wing wouldn’t with Malkin be the better idea since he could take some faceoffs? Then DOC with Sid?
Or maybe don’t play Eller as a wing.

Depends if Sullivan is back and if the player they can pick is NHL ready. If Sullivan is not fired we will be worse next year and if we can’t get a guy in the lineup this fall then punt a year.Antonio wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 8:21 pmWell let's be honest. Let’s say we finish with the 8th pick. If there are 8 really good players that can come immediately on to this team then keep it especially if Sullivan is gone.

Tough set of calculations and guesses isn't it? I'm personally unsure which path I'd rather see .. lose more now and take an 8th, 7th... 6(!?) pick this year or win enough to give them a decent pick and get a better one next year?DelPen wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 8:23 pmDepends if Sullivan is back and if the player they can pick is NHL ready. Reilly Smith trying to see how many times he can turn the puck over in 1 shift.
Guess he will be happy back in VGK Saturday.

I thought they traded their first round pick this year for EK.Antonio wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 8:25 pmTough set of calculations and guesses isn't it? I don’t think this team will need to make a conscious decision to lose more. As long as Sullivan is still the coach the losing will continue.Antonio wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 8:25 pmTough set of calculations and guesses isn't it? It’s also not a hard decision for me. If when the time comes when a decision needs to be made, I see if Sullivan is fired and if I can find let’s say 10 guys I think can play this fall. If both of those are true I keep the pick. If both aren’t I send it to SJ.

Lottery protected. If we suck so bad we can opt to keep it like we could have with the Zucker trade and losing to Montreal in the 2020 restart.Badger Bob wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 8:28 pmI thought they traded their first round pick this year for EK.Antonio wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 8:25 pmTough set of calculations and guesses isn't it?
