Not sure what the plan is for Jack St. Ivany. But he's quietly an incredibly consistent d-man back there. I get that he's getting sheltered 3rd d-pair minutes but he looks big, strong and has really good gap control with his stick. Would really like to see him take a spot for next year.

Any coach that has any sort of pulse for what's happening during a game would be looking to get guys like Puljujarvi out there as much as possible in this final frame. He has the jump and the energy - making things happen every shift.
Sadly, Sullivan used to be a master of that deployment during games from '15-'18...

Getting to be that time of the game where Sully shortens his bench and only plays his vets.

No Puustinen. Puljujarvi taking his spot. We all know that would be Carter taking Puusty's spot if he was in the lineup. Puustinen clearly can't play when the team has a lead in the 3rd.KG wrote: Tue Mar 26, 2024 9:26 pmGetting to be that time of the game where Sully shortens his bench and only plays his vets.

Seems like another one of those, Sullivan hates him for no explainable reason and seems to only be playing him because he's been forced to for roster reasons.KG wrote: Tue Mar 26, 2024 9:29 pmNo Puustinen. He's too aggressive on the forecheck and has too good of a shot for Sullivan's liking. Ned was the difference tonight. Heck of a game. How did no one trade for this guy at the deadline?
