Tough loss but that’s a big point they got.
Jarry was great.
Ullmark was a fraction better.

Exactly. I swear the camera coverage gets worse. I long for the days when the camera was center ice the whole game. I despise the behind the net view and into the corners view.brwi wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 9:05 pmPick a camera angle and stay with it. This isn't an amusement park ride

How are Drew O’Connor’s analytics? The eye test says he’s fighting it. Might be the player Jesse replaces for a game.

Steigy said on the postgame show that the Rangers are still bananas about getting Sullivan to be their coach somehow according to his sources.

I don't know why this came to mind again for me right now, but Karlsson was so bad during that OT. Not just the goal, but his whole shift he made bad decisions.

Sullivan and the 2025-2030 1sts for a bag of pucks to the NYR.penscup wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 10:56 pmSteigy said on the postgame show that the Rangers are still bananas about getting Sullivan to be their coach somehow according to his sources.

Would you even care about the return? I’d be happy with Sullivan for an 8th round pick in 2040 while hoping they add more rounds to the draft by then.

I think you could still get something for DOC, Sully needs to be out of here by the time we need to start playing young drafteesDeHaven162 wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 9:36 amTake DOC with him. Guy is showing why he was undrafted.Puck-Lurker wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 6:28 amTo NYR:

There are reportedly several teams that have shown interest in him. They should be able to move him at the deadline, and they should.DeHaven162 wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 9:36 amTake DOC with him. Guy is showing why he was undrafted.Puck-Lurker wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 6:28 amTo NYR:

I've always really rooted for DOC, and I was pleasantly surprised with his scoring touch last year and early this one. I'm wondering if that burst of production was the outlier with him and he's reverted to what he really is. I'm still hoping he pops through but, regardless, if there are teams who want to trade for him I think they should do it.

I think they'd be able to move him, and think they should. I like DOC, I think he just is what he is; a tweener that can get hot for a little stretch. The issue is, when he's not hot, he doesn't do much else. Every once in a while he'll have a nice hard forecheck, but most of the time he's just around. Skates hard, and when he gets to where he was trying to go, nothing happens. Just leaves you wanting so much more.FLPensFan wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 10:20 amThere are reportedly several teams that have shown interest in him. I think he's snakebit, but in the end I think he's a solid 3rd liner that can be elevated for a few games. I wouldn't just trade him for a low return but if they can get an end of 2nd round pick (unlikely but GMs get weird at the deadline) or any 3rd round pick, I'd trade him. or if he's an add on to get more assets in a Pettersson trade.DeHaven162 wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 10:36 amI think they'd be able to move him, and think they should. DOC is and never has been in my opinion, anything but a replaceable lower middle lineup guy. Never have gotten the nonsense sentiment that he is some valuable asset. If you got a 2nd for him, I would fire him out of town on a rocket. He is absolutely fine and I think overall he has a place in a lineup for sure, but he is nothing worth mentioning. He is not in any way shape or form an untouchable piece, or something you build around, etc.

Retroactively, it has been a good idea all season. It's not like Grzelcyk and Graves being poo, Shea being Shea, is news at this stage.

Re: Official GDT: Pens @ Sens 12/14/24
That's the thing with DOC. He's so big and so fast, if he was simply crushing guys in the corners, I'd be OK with it. Same as net-front - if he could learn how to park it there and just be a physical disruptive force looking for ugly rebounds, he'd be perfect. Unfortunately, you can't teach that to soft players.DeHaven162 wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 10:36 amI think they'd be able to move him, and think they should. Re: Official GDT: Pens @ Sens 12/14/24
I think he’s a bit like Dupuis, someone who would do well with a guy like Crosby in his prime but is a 3rd liner otherwise. He’s the kind who becomes valuable at the deadline, smart player, can PK, has some speed, can play anywhere in the lineup, small cap hit.Antonio wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 2:05 pmDOC is and never has been in my opinion, anything but a replaceable lower middle lineup guy.
