You’re welcome everyone. Unless this one point keeps us out of the draft lottery and the team with the least odds wins to get the #1 pick, then I’m sorry everyone.

Sully would destroy their confidence after 5 games with reduced minutes, after 10 games, they would be healthy scratches..KG wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 11:41 pmKoivunen now leads the AHL in points by a rookie with 35. Good to see the kids in WBS doing well.FLPensFan wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 10:45 pmWBS destroyed 2nd best team in the AHL (Hershey) by a 9-0 score:
--Murashov in net for the shutout, 27 shots against
--Koivunen with 4 goals
--Ponomarev with 3 goals
--Kral with a goal and 4 assists
--Bemstrom with 4 assists
--McGroarty with 1 assist
Keep them down there away from Sully. Because if you can’t PK as a forward you will be a healthy scratch.
I have zero trust in his ability to give young players any fair chance.

I agree totally with your assessment. Just look at Blomqvist. He’s sitting. Kirk Macdonald is doing a great job with these kids. Don’t expose them to MS just yet. I wonder why RMG2 didn’t get in on the action.Pens4Life wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 12:42 amSully would destroy their confidence after 5 games with reduced minutes, after 10 games, they would be healthy scratches..KG wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 11:41 pmKoivunen now leads the AHL in points by a rookie with 35. First Ponomarev goal was on the PP. McGroarty was out there. RMG passed puck from behind the net to Hayes, Hayes fed Kral at the point, Kral passed to Pono at the other point for the goal.Wyopen wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 7:39 amI agree totally with your assessment. Second Ponomarev goal, McGroarty got an assist.
Third Ponomarev goal was 4-4. McGroarty was out there. Just a weird but worked play. Pono won the faceoff back to Kral, while Hollowell broke down the net, curled from the front to the left side. RMG covered the point for Hollowell. Ponomarev rolled from the faceoff circle to right side of the net. Left pretty much wide open, and Hollowell passed to Pono for the last goal of the night.

FLPF, thank you for your excellent analysis as always. BTW, I’m very much pro-RMG. I’d just like to see him score more. Only had one shot last night. My main concern is these young kids under the tutoring of MS. Look at Ponomarev earlier this year, benched after making a mistake. The only way the kids play is if KD trades away some of vets forcing MS hand. I trust Macdonald not MS.FLPensFan wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 10:16 amFirst Ponomarev goal was on the PP.
