There's 2 ROH shows in Philly at the old ECW arena in July...........I might head to one of those.......I would bet Danielson shows up.
For my money, the coolest entrance in the business right now (or at least it was I guess):

My company is producing a Lucha Libre video game, and we had a for-real (*cough*) four-way match at E3 yesterday to determine who would be on the cover art. Lucha is not nearly as family-friendly as the stuff in the U.S. and A., and their whole thing at the show was a riot. Tons of fun.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Yeah he was ridiculously awesome in ROH........when browsing his wiki page I saw that the Wrestling Observer had him as the #1 'Most Outstanding' wrestler from 2006-2009 and the 'Best Technical Wrestler' every year from 2005-2009. Pretty big honors when you read the other names on those lists from previous years. Also, you may not have also know that he was trained by HBK at HBK's wrestling school in Texas.SolidSnake wrote:I never realized how popular he was/is

He did some quality work in japan as well. He's been around for years, and is one of the few guys that has been pretty innovative, as well as technically sound. If he isn't coming back the WWE, it might not be the worst thing in the world, because guys with his skill level aren't usually showcased properly there.

Fatal 4 Way PPV Tonight. Only 5 matches announced so far. Maybe going to a bar and watching it. Only thing I am looking forward to tonight is what the NXT 7 are going to do.

Haha... The ending wasn't that bad. It furthers the NXT angle at least... Sheamus winning works well in the overall sense of the angle, especially the way he did it. Running in ... pinning him, then getting the F out of dodge.
Still a fun show all around, alot better than it had any right of being. Jericho/Bourne was still easily the match of the night.

Jericho/Bourne easily the match of the night. Ending kind of sucked. Did not like Sheamus winning, but liked that Mysterio won tonight. Mysterio deserves it. New York has some crazy wrestling fans as they chanted stuff all night. Why did the PPV end 30 minutes earlier than the allotted time though. It ended way to early!

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
The way Jack Swagger has been booked ever since he won the MITB match at Mania is such a joke. He wins the title, and pretty much lost every non-title Smackdown match he had clean.........then would win his PPV matches cheaply. Now 2-3 months after he wins the title he loses it. I don't really care, because I don't think he's all that entertaining, but if your going to try to build new stars freaking stick to it.
All I know is that I just read the results, and with 2 title matches being won on freak finishes with interference and the PPV ending half an hour early, I would be FURIOUS if I actually paid for that. Also, for those of you that saw it, is it true that Maryse had a 'wardrobe malfunction'?

PPV's never run till 11. They normally run till about 10:45, so 10 minutes or so earlier than normal tonight.

Can't comment on the Marsye thing... stream I had wasn't HD or anything. The overall PPV wasn't bad. It was carried by the opener(Kofi/Drew), and Jericho Bourne, along with the Smackdown 4 way not being bad at all. Miz/Rtruth was ok, but went on longer than it should have, kind of dragged. Hart Dynasty/Uso's wasn't bad either.... but had no heat.steve784 wrote:The way Jack Swagger has been booked ever since he won the MITB match at Mania is such a joke. The PPV did end about 10 minutes early, they never run till 11 though, usually are off by 10:45 or so, at least WWE PPV's.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I realize that they are normally off by 10:45 or 10:50 but when I looked down it was 10:32. Way to early in my opinion. It was either Alicia Fox or the diva that she pinned that had a wardrobe malfunction. I could not tell because the stream was terrible, but if anyone has a link please post it.

I agree the ending sucked. Destroying things again didn't have much of an impact as the 1st time.

Or the second time...SolidSnake wrote:I agree the ending sucked. Destroying things again didn't have much of an impact as the 1st time.
And how pointless was Kane? Huge buildup to nothing. Wasn't expecting Rey to win at all, so that was fun, but boy have they buried Swagger. I agree with steve, the booking with him has been horrid. He loses non-title matches then on the fatal fourway PPV, when the titles can change hands without the champion being pinned, setting up Swagger with a legitimate beef on losing the title, he is the one that puts loses clean. He's done.
And another agreement: no way this thing was worth 55 bucks.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
That's completely inexcusable. The majority of those who actually pay for these things expect it to run at least NEAR 11PM. Ending that early really rips off the fans that paid good money for this show. I understand that it's hard to time a live show perfectly, but nearly half an hour is a huge gap. They could've easily ran another match (plenty of big enough stars like Christian, Morrison, Ziggler, Dibiase, etc..........hell do a Santino/Kozlov comedy bit) for 10 mins and still ended early. I know some would say well, it's just like UFC or boxing, you don't know when it's going to end........but UFC and boxing aren't scripted (at least they're not supposed to be), so I don't accept that.Old Time Hockey wrote:I realize that they are normally off by 10:45 or 10:50 but when I looked down it was 10:32.
