yep, this year it's in NYC. still totally shocked that the NFL picked a city with actual weather in February. I remember a few years ago Atlanta lost out on it's bid because it was "too cold" in the Winter. what? 1) we have a dome stadium. 2) if we're lucky we get a couple of inches of snow a year. not sure wtf they were talking about.DudeMan2766 wrote:SolidSnake wrote:So the Super Bowl is in New Orleans this season, anyone gonna be surprised when the Saints win the Super Bowl and all you hear about is how the Saints came back all the way from last season?

The funny part of course is that SF was so invigorated by the long delay that in their first drive they ended up punting."I was like Vegas, parlor tricks, you know what I mean?" Suggs said. "I was like, ahh, Roger Goodell, he never stops, he always has something up his sleeve. He just couldn't let us have this one in a landslide, huh?"

They can call it New York all they want, the Super Bowl is being played in New Jersey.shoeshine boy wrote:yep, this year it's in NYC. still totally shocked that the NFL picked a city with actual weather in February. I can see the NFL execs now. Trashing all these safety rules because DONTE HITNER HITS...ITS WHAT THIS MAN DOES!"There is no coincidence to the timing of 49ers safety Donte Whitner changing his name to Hitner. The name change is a statement to the NFL. He is saying he is a hitter -- that thats what he does, writes Bill Williamson

Yeah. It's a really dumb move. The guy isn't even that good. I hate the kind of publicity this brings to the team I root for. Just stupid.Idoit40fans wrote:I can see those execs now...thats a borderline hit, he clearly tried to show us up. Fine him.

Re: NFL
As of Week 1, Sanchez's status was changed to "Injured Reserve: Designated to Return", with Week 11 being the earliest return date (IRDTR is a 10-week thing). Teams only get one such IR exemption per year, and why the Jets used theirs on a guy they are clearly done with is a mystery.
