I watched The Box last night. I sort of hate Richard Kelly. I love Donnie Darko but after listening to the Director (Kelly) commentary of that movie, I am convinced that Kelly = a blind squirrel who found a nut. He basically indicates in the commentary "I don't really know what I was going for here, I just though it'd be cool." (about several different things that make the movie great). Then he basically disappeared after DD.

Anyway, The Box was genuinely creepy at various points. James Marsden was really quite good. I thought about 1/3 of the way in I was really going to like it, but, I think Kelly sort of got carried away. Its worth seeing, maybe someone can explain it a little bit to me. I like the music, er, "sounds" more so probably.

That's why I don't bother with those types of movies. Like I need anymore help in being paranoid about weird **** happening.

I think that is the most underated movie ever, it's absolutely brilliant in every way. Makes it so much cooler that the writer/director was Hawkins from Predator. The guy is a genious writer, I mean Last Boy Scout, Lethal Weapon, Monster Squad, I'm looking forward to more from him

Thats a sweet movie, and I forgot about it. I love Jennifer Connelly. I am now going to procure it.

It actually makes me mad how poorly that movie was marketed. All they had to say was "from the director of The Crow" and people would have seen it.

Yeah. Some scenes just weren't necessary. Still really like the movie though.

Over the course of the weekend, I watched all 3 extended editions of LOTR for the first time in a long time. Though my distaste for a few scenes remains, it was fun to watch them again. :thumb:
