The same as to watching any tv show.
I watch TV,usually comedy shows. So you guys just watch pro wrestling for a laugh?I Can't imagine anybody watching it and finding it dramatic.[/quote]

It's a soap opera. I'm interested in the world and the "art" of the production, including the writing, character development, and physicality of the matches. Also, I believe it is real and the outcomes obviously matter.

Well......that was an awkward/creepy moment caught on camera.

fake is the wrong word. predetermined is probably more accurate. I don't watch regularly anymore, but what I always appreciated the amount of skill in the performance. that part of it is certainly not fake.

Non fiction would be a good word to describe. I'm not really into it anymore, but at a few various points in my life I was drawn in, its damn entertaining sometimes. And staged violence or not, most of those guys are impressive athletes, and some can almost act. And dammit if McMahon didn't make the WWE a hugely successful company.

Non Fiction is kind of the worst word to describe it. It's completely and totally fiction.

LOL, the fans there all brought ties and threw them in the ring at the beginning of his match.

No kidding. It doesn't help that Michael Cole is supposedly just receiving these yet the way he's reading them its obvious he's rehearsed them.

Some RAW thoughts:

Cena making a point to say "jimbrone" instead of "jabroni" is really annoying. Cena making a complete joke out of the opening segment was somehow more annoying.

Why does Michael Cole's email make the Apple new text message sound? Speaking of Cole, he'd be an obvious choice for a heel GM. He gets a ton of heat, mainly because he's not Jim Ross, and he proved he could play the role pretty well during the Daniel Bryan angle. The key would be for him to not change too much, but rather play a character similar to Vince's before he turned full on heel. The hate is already there, no need to get cheap heat by calling Cena names.

I was hoping Steamboat would get at least one arm drag in. Where was Wade Barrett? Did he choke somebody last week?

omg, Wade Barrett mug shot.

I hope Nexus (ugh) gets a new schtick soon. Four weeks of attacking then doing their finishers is played out. It needs a new wrinkle and soon.

What an effective ending to the tag. Orton is so over right now it's insane.

I just got back from Raw. I've been to more WWE events in my lifetime than I can clearly remember, and I can say without a doubt that was by far the worst one. The main event was decent, but the hour and a half before that was absolute crap. Sitting in the audience we literally felt like there was no reason to be there since 75% of that time was spent on backstage segments or promos (especially pathetic was the Rob Zombie/Edge sissy fight over how Edge dropped the Zombie song as his theme like 5 years ago), and the rest was a Santino/Kozlov joke and the wrestling clinic known as Sheamus vs. Mark Henry. The Nexus attack was really, really dragged out, or at least it felt that way in person (and where the hell was Barrett?!)

Literally the only enjoyable thing from the whole show was that during the commercial break after the wrestlers entered the ring for the main event, Jericho cut a promo on what a toilet bowl Philadelphia was, followed by Edge grabbing the mic and going "Yeah.......and THE FLYERS SUCK TOO!!!!"

Other than that, I really want my $60 back.

It's too bad you didn't have a good time, steve. I agree it was one of the weaker shows of the past couple weeks.

I realized what needs to happen with the nxtWo, and it's really really simple. They need to wrestle. It's a novel idea, wrestlers actually being asked to wrestle, but they need to go in and get a couple victories over established names, otherwise they're not much of a threat.

Totally agree. Problem is, from what we've seen of them so far, how many of them can actually put on a decent match on their own? Might help if they hadn't have canned the only one who was really good at of all things, wrestling.

That is bad news. They definitely need to wrestle soon, and, as you mentioned earlier, with Danielson gone, the Nexus (happy?) guys really need to rely on Barrett to carry them in the ring.
