Basically saying wings would offer around 3 mil. And his agent doesn't rule out a signing in Russia.
Is this what james neal will get?

LOL, Rossi retweeted the fake Letang tweet. Rossi's such a fool, and this is his typical reporting where he's "on the story" and trying to rile the Pens' fan base into a frenzy. He's falling completely into whatever Jagr's agent is trying to do.

If Nealer hits 20G for the fourth straight year in 11-12, look for him to get around 4M as an RFA next summer.penny lane wrote:http://www.detnews.com/article/20110621 ... HL-options

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
If Jagr is serious about coming back to the NHL, I can't see how he would turn down Mario, assuming the Pens aren't offering him Mike Rupp money...

LeBrun...
Wings have offered more money than Penguins at this point. That can change in one phone call from Mario. But that's where it stands now.

All indications thus far point to the Penguins offering Jagr "Rupp-money"KG wrote:If Jagr is serious about coming back to the NHL, I can't see how he would turn down Mario, assuming the Pens aren't offering him Mike Rupp money...

I would certainly hope he hits 20 G.sil wrote:If Nealer hits 20G for the fourth straight year in 11-12, look for him to get around 4M as an RFA next summer.penny lane wrote:http://www.detnews.com/article/20110621 ... HL-options

Have you factored in the, "living in Detroit" variable?Lesky wrote:Wings: 3 million

I think it would only solidify in my mind, that when he doesn't sign for league minimum, that he's in it for the dollars.canaan wrote:what happened with the JJ "league minimum" talk from a while ago

Offering him $1 mil is an insult. They gave Satan $3.5 mil. Split the difference with the Wings offer and make it $2 million.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
How does Robert Lang know Mario Lemieux is trying to contact Jagr?
Does this mean Lemieux has called Robert Lang in an effort to get in contact with Jagr?

This implies that anyone currently reporting these rumors really knows anything.PensOnDVD wrote:Offering him $1 mil is an insult. They gave Satan $3.5 mil. Split the difference with the Wings offer and make it $2 million.

We could afford it then because we missed out on Hossa. We can't afford it now.PensOnDVD wrote:Offering him $1 mil is an insult. They gave Satan $3.5 mil. Split the difference with the Wings offer and make it $2 million.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
Having 8M to play with, we can easily afford to give Jags 2.5, even 3M. We could still keep TK and fill the roster out with >1M guys from WB or the open market.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
Well, if Mario does not call and Shero offers 1 million, then I would agree that would basicly tell Jagr that the Pens could care less.PensOnDVD wrote:Offering him $1 mil is an insult. They gave Satan $3.5 mil. Split the difference with the Wings offer and make it $2 million.

Which is why I don't buy that...Jagr deserves more then that...don't insult the guy...PensOnDVD wrote:Offering him $1 mil is an insult. They gave Satan $3.5 mil. Split the difference with the Wings offer and make it $2 million.

We are trying to get Straka - Lang - Kovalev back as our 4th line.Lesky wrote:How does Robert Lang know Mario Lemieux is trying to contact Jagr?

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
I'm scratching my head over this one. The worlds are a sparse talent tournament that relatively no one cares about. Not sure that performance is a solid indication that he can still play.saints11 wrote:If you watched JJ in the World's, you'd be fine with $2 mil.

Yeah, I don't think Shero's the type of guy that would waste his or Jagr's time by offering him a mil.KG wrote:Which is why I don't buy that...Jagr deserves more then that...don't insult the guy...PensOnDVD wrote:Offering him $1 mil is an insult.
