I actually never finished Mass Effect. It was very good, but after Baldur's Gate and KotOR I just wasn't hooked. The dialouge and stuff was awesome but I didn't like the action alot.SolidSnake wrote:MASS EFFECT it's... awesome.
Dragon Age, however, looks to be very very good =) Back to basics for Bioware but still with tons of new stuff.

Re: Current video game being played
Same opinion of Mass Effect. The story was definitely very cool, as were the graphics and different worlds. I think I would have liked this game better if it was a standard 1st person shooter like Fallout 3. I found the controls way too clunky and the weapons interface too difficult to understand.André wrote:I actually never finished Mass Effect. I just picked up Bart's Nightmare for Super NES for $2.50. That used to be one of my favorites. It probably sucks now, and I haven't played it in years, but I'm excited.

Re: Current video game being played
Last night I bought Torchlight.
Think of it as a cross between Fate and the original Diablo. That's because it was created by the guys who made both Fate and the original Diablo. Shocking, I know.
As a Diablo addict who has to wait until 2011 for his next fix, this is a pretty good substitute. Pretty cheap too, and only available by digital download.

I beat Arkham Asylum and I'm working heavily on Uncharted 2. Both are awesome games.
BTW, I *highly* recommend you guys try the Brutal Legend demo (PS3 and 360). I have never laughed so much at a video game than I did during that demo. Definitely going to be playing that soon.

Re: Current video game being played
Phantasy Star IV. One of my favorite RPGs of all time.
Recently played through PS3 as well... that game has a cool concept, but the actual gameplay is a mess.
Basically, you play through 3 "generations"... and at the end of a generation (except for the final one) you get to choose who to marry. Depending on who you select, you have a different son who carries on the adventure 20 years or so later.... meaning there are 4 total paths through the game.
Unfortunately, the game play is so fubar that if you finish one you would never dream of playing another.

Re: Current video game being played
Anyone playing Left 4 Dead 2 demo? Much like the first with some extra stuff thrown in. Although your strategy changes when it comes to weapons. Ammo isn't as plentiful and you are forced to try other weapons rather than your go to favorites...always a shotgun for the zombie apocolypse.

I'm playing an obscure little game called Vanguard Bandits. I've always loved this game.

Played Bart's Nightmare for the first time in like 10-15 years last night.
Now I remember why I didn't play it for 10-15 years.

Re: Current video game being played
Just breezing through the thread, I haven't seen any mention of Assassins Creed II in the past few pages. Assassins Creed was a good game, but not nearly the next-gen experience they made it out to be. It got very repetitive after the first 5 or so main parts of the story, and you just had to fight all the way through it to get to the meat of the storyline, which happens at the very end of the game. That being said, for me it was worth it, and it was a great start to the supposed trilogy. From everything that I've seen, AC II looks awesome, and if it just fixed a few minor things about the original, it should be sick. Check out ign for some video reviews and stuff.

I'd guess the reason Assassins Creed II hasn't been mentioned is because the thread is about what games people are currently playing... AC II doesn't come out for another couple of weeks.
