what a horrible stupid deal by New Jersey. Already wasted millions on Malakhov and McGillis, now Ken Klee.

Klee might be overpaid, but he's better than Richardson, who essentially replaces him on the Leafs.

I agree dealing Klee to have Richardson is a bad deal but they were able to land a prospect for the future. I'm just not sure the reason behind Richardson when other cheap defensemen were available.

I have a hard time second guessing Lou... Is there a better GM in the league?

Yes, Ken Holland does a great job in Detroit drafting and developing young player after young player. Need I remind anyone they have Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Hudler, Kronwall, and I'm sure more.

I've never been a big fan of Lou.

Devil's Advocate:

Up until this year, Ken Holland had more resources ($$$) to work with than Lamoriello. Big income team still have somewhat of an advatage in that they have more money to put into scouting and velopment.

Holland is indeed one of the best GMs. I don't think we can credit him for Hudler though. The guy has one career goal and didn't make the team again this year. He might be great, but the only reason anyone knows his name is because we all wanted the Pens to draft him.

If Wings keep him, Hudler is in the NHL next year since Yzerman will be gone and they'll look to merge more youth into the mix.

If Lou ran a quality organization that entertained the fans, he would have had more money to sign players. No one in any market wants to watch clutch-n-grab trapfest hockey.
