I can't believe that kid isn't dead. He appeared to be broken in half.

I wonder if the glass was substandard and already broken. Guys get hit like that often and the glass absorbs alot of it. This time, the glass didn't absorb much and shattered, leaving him to deal with the force of the collision.

I could see him coming away from that with a broken rib or two.

Hey, it's a Las Vegas team, what can I tell ya? You should see the Wrangler games...oh yikies! That's almost a nightly occurance.
That kids name was Michael Trimboli & he had two broken ribs & a lot to brag about. He had already scored two goals for the Outlaws.

Actually the kid is fine he got stitches in his chin (from the glass), that's it according to him. He posted it at another website the thread is 13 pages long now.

Thanks freq019, I hadn't heard that but am not surprised.
It's fortunate for him it was just these injuries.

I don't know this for certain but I think the arena is in Phoenix. I can't give you the name, but that is where the Vosha Mustangs hail from.

I don't mean to be contradictory, but I don't think so. Unless you can explain why the Las Vegas Outlaws would be playing the Phoenix Vosha Mustangs in the US National playoffs in Pittsburgh?? The incident was in the Review Journal out here & I'm sure they said that game of the playoffs was played at the Phoenix Arena.

Either way, it would have to have been at the Vegas arena here...North rink; or whatever the Phoenix arena is called.

I stand corrected & I apologize. My friend Chad told me they were either at the Las Vegas Ice Center or at the Alltel Ice Den in Phoenix (Scottsdale actually). But he emailed me back & said they had the games in PA...that would be you. :P
Taking place at the Ice Castle in Pittsburgh, Pa., the Tier II 16 & Under National Championship opened March 29 and ran through the championship final on Sunday, April 2. Congratulations to the Quakers (AT), Toledo Icediggers (MD), Quincy 67's (MA), Alaska All Stars (AK), Orland Park Vikings (CN), NH Jr. Monarchs (NE), Phoenix Mustangs (RM), Grand Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles (NY), Pittsburgh Predators (Host), Mt. Clemens Wolves (MI), Ashburn Xtreme (SE) and the Las Vegas Outlaws (PC) for their participation in USA Hockey's premier youth event.
I'll go & enjoy my crow now. What to have with that; a nice Chianti or a dry, but rounded Sauvignon Blanc?

No worries I thought it was strange too that a vegas team was in the house that Ryan Malone built, can we call it that?

I use to work in a rink and I have seen alot of those break but never two at the same time. That bracket must have been real loose for that to happen.
