Of the $500,000+ buyout he got from Detroit, his ex-wife got 75%. Yowza!

Saw him interviewed on TSN last night. It's a shame, and he was very embarassed by the whole thing. I was impressed with the way he handled himself and addressed the issue - with humility instead of finger pointing and "woe-is-me" attitude. He was apologizing to everyone that he felt this impacted, incuding teammates, family, etc.

Hopefully, he can play long enough to get himself right and lead a comfortable life after Hockey. He's a real honest player. Always liked him.

I wonder if Dircet TV cancelled his center ice subscription :lol:

It is a shame, I like Darren Mccarty. He seems very candid, and humbled by the whole situation.
