Name your top five most disliked NHL teams

Post by cs6687 »

1. Flyers - just because they're the Flyers.
2. Maple Leafs - dirty team, arrogant fans, jerk of a coach. sixty-seven!
3. Rangers - two words: Adam Graves.
4. Bruins - haven't liked them since they complained about Ulfie's play.
5. Red Wings - like the Patriots, they win so much you can't take it.

I think the Flyers, Islanders, and Leafs are the only teams I hate right now, but I'm sure the Rangers will get back up there now that they are getting good again.

I don't necessarily hate the Wild, Devils, and Panthers but I hate how they play and never go to those games when they are in town unless there's a promo I want.

Flyers: because it's Philly....and because of Clarke....and because of Primeau a few years ago....and because of that puke orange color....and because of Hextall trying to chase Robbie Brown years ago  ...and (shall I continue?)

Rags: the Ranger$ years where they built their team with their checkbook had a lot to do with it. Nowadays, it just seems natural to boo Jarda

Caps: I think this had something to do with the fans the last few times I've been there. Plus, the Pens-Caps playoffs of the 90s has a lot to do with this.

I won't list four and five, since the teams change from time to time, but the top three are a constant and rarely even change order.

Caps - Even though we own them, I still hate them.

Flyers - Because they've been dirty and a thorn in the Pens side when it matters.

Panthers - Two words: rubber rats. A-NOY-ying. Man, what a Stanley Cup Finals that would have been: Pens/Avs

Isles - Two words: David Volek. 'Nuff said. It doesn't help that they came back from 3-1 to be the Pens '75

Debbies - Because they made me suffer through years of boring-*** trap. And because they ended that magical 2001 season.

Not that I carry a grudge against teams who beat my team, or anything.

1. Flyers. Lots of reasons, but the most scarring is the 5 OT game. I was in the F-deck right over the goal Primeau scored into.

2. Caps. Thankfully, we own them in the playoffs.

3. Rangers.

4. Leafs. Mostly because I find their fans insufferably whiny.

5. Red Wings. Too much TV, too arrogant.

Amen.

I cannot wait until Crosby knocks out Ovechkin in a few years.

Wait, who am I kidding, Washington won't be in the post-season.

Well... Jagr has played for the Caps...

I actually associate my dislike for the Caps to the fact that I am able to go to so many games. It has created another level to the rivalry for me. If my sister had moved to Philly or NYC I am sure one of those teams would be my #1. But she didn't, so they're not... F the Caps!
