Las Vegas -- While the Aces are motivated by memories of last season's playoff run, the Wranglers are pushed by the frustration of missing the playoffs last season and a first-round playoff disappointment two seasons ago.

The Wranglers have a great goalie tandem in Marc Magliarditi and Mike McKenna and one of the most unsung players in the league in Steve Crampton. Crampton, much like Leon Hayward did last season for the Titans, is the type of player who can emerge to be a clutch playoff-performer. The Wranglers, however, will have a very difficult task getting out of the division against a hot Idaho Steelheads team and then a probable meeting with the Aces.
Yeah, yeah, yeah! Guess who made ECHL history last night for the biggest comeback in ECHL history? :)

The Wranglers pounded the Steelheads into submission with a 6-2 win & took game seven in the western division. Now it's on to Alaska in the second round for the Cup.

I'm a little worried about how much this is all beginning to mean to me. If we have to leave Vegas, I wonder if I can take the team with me? Anybody know how much it costs to buy a minor league team?

Oh & btw, Steve Crampton was drafted by the Pens & came to us from the Wheeling Nailers. Just a bit of trivia...sort of ties it all together in a Penguin sort of way.
