No score 5 minutes in. Sabres are flying.

Connelly scores! 1-0 Sabres. Awesome individual effort. Their team speed has the FLyers backing up SO MUCH that they are giving up too much room at the blueline.

Think anyone will call a penalty on Philthy in the second today? (They didn't twice, blatantly, in Friday's second.)

Go Sabres, beat dem Philthy Phliars!

Daniel Briere has to be the most underrated player in the game today.

I knew he was a good player, but he has exceptional skill.

Beauty-full play, too.

not really. He barely moved his leg and it was really inner thigh on inner thigh.

I thought originally Flyer Nation had a very good point about Philly pounding Buffalo into submisssion as the series went on. However, after watching game #5, it seesm Buffalo is no worse the wear. Philly actually looked like the tired team in this match up. The Sabres came out flying from jump. Last two games (I think this series will have a game seven) will be very, interesting to see who can be "the last man standing".

Hitchcock's system is less effective when the other team skates harder. It's difficult to acheive that in Philly because the Flyer get that adrenaline boost and can match them in spurts. If Buffalo gets the early lead they will win it in 6. Otherwise 7.
