Completely blown call in CGY/ANA game just now
Selanne scores a goal on the PP and Koharski not only waves off the goal but gives the Ducks a penalty for goaltender interference. Replays show Lupul never made any contact with Kiprusoff whatsoever before the puck was in the net.

He totally screwed up that call. He wasnt even watching Selanne. Maybe the guy didnt let up but that shouldtn matter because the puck crossed first. Too bad they couldnt overturn that.Tikkanen wrote:Koharski should have to personally apologize to everyone in the Ducks organization for that ****. How do you not even review that?

Not a reviewable play, goaltender interference has to be made in the moment. I was pretty sure it was not reviewable and the announce team confirmed it at the beginning of the second by reading the seven things that are reviewable.
Just add this one to the blown offsides call that allowed Colorado to tie game 3 versus Dallas in the final minute which Colorado eventually won in OT.

This was one of the most horrendous calls you will ever see. Donut Man got two things wqrong on the same call. One, the puck was in before the goalie was even touched. Two, he was hit by his own player, who had not been pushed in by Lupul.
But you see, here is the problem with the NHL. What do you want to bet that there will be no punishment to Mr. Koharski because he is a respected veteran ref? He'll be right back out there tonight calling another game. The NHL will just look the other way at his transgression that had the potential to cost a team millions of dollars.
