How do the lines project this year?

Post by pensfannn »

Pivko-Christensen-Ouellet
Moulson-Stone-Fliewich
Carcillo-Dixon-Jensen

Assuming Talbot makes the Pens. Is this in the ballpark?

Story is that Pivko will go back to Europe if his doesn't make the NHL club.

It's really too hard to tell at this point. Likely, Christensen, Stone, Filewich, Dixon, Jensen, Carcillo, James, and Bonvie are going to be on the roster. Moulson might still sign. There's some chance that Ouellet will end up down there, but I expect him to make the Pens as a reserve, and if he doesn't, I could see him being claimed off waivers on the way down. Otherwise, we might see some Edmonton prospects filling out the rest of the roster if that agreement still goes down.

I think Shero wants Stone, Filly, and Carcillo getting prime minutes in WBS if they aren't in the Burgh. He seems to have high hopes for them, as do I

Don't rule out that some roster spots may be taken up with Edmonton prospects. I know if Robbie shows up in WB, my son will be there to say hi I'm sure.

Marc-Antoine Pouliot was another high-profile prospect that might end up in WB if he doesn't make the parent club in Edmonton. Being that he and Schremp are both centers, it will be interesting to see if Stone remains at wing and if Christensen begins the transition there (assuminig both of those Oiler prospects end up in WB).

Since Stone projects as a checking line center in the NHL, I would move him back to the middle. If Christensen has a future in the NHL with the Penguins, they might as well move him to wing now to see if he can make the transition.

That first line should light up the AHL. With Poulite (sorry about the spelling) and Schremp they'd be aswesome.

True about Pivko though, he wants to play with the parent club or leave for europe again.
