Wait, don't judge him yet. He's probably going to dedicate a full hour today to bash Big East Football. Something original.

I didn't even notice Vinny was off today until Ron Cook mentioned it following the first hour.

FIFTEEN one sentence paragraphs in today's column. FIFTEEN. This one was my favorite:
"That's Greybull, Wyo., a really far off place I think you will agree."
Is he channeling Lewis Carroll or does an 8 year old write his columns?

Why does Ron Cook always write columns that only seem to have the purpose of cheering up Steeler fans? Gets old.

TWELVE one sentence paragraphs today. Christ. This man is a writer at a major metropolitan newspaper.
His first paragraph has nothing to do with the rest of the column and is completely superfluous and useless. And then, regarding Gay moving into the nickel role with McFadden's return:
I hate Ron Cook (EDIT: to an irrational extent, I know).

A player who wasn't good enough as a starter being demoted to the #3 spot as a nickel back where he gets better matchups against #3 or #4 WRs is an "amazing" and "uplifting" story? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!?!Ron Cook the Hack wrote:It's an amazing story.
An uplifting story.
No. No one knows this "old saying", because it is not a thing.Ron Cook the Hack wrote:You know that corny, old saying?
It's not your circumstances, it's your attitude.

Yes, I agree -- but I think I am going to continue to make fun of him in here. Its a good outlet for my irrational hatred of his writing. I don't listen to his radio show, but I understand he is somehow even worse with the spoken word, a fact that truly frightens me.

Not so much a technical disaster, as just a completely pointless series of hypotheticals. What a waste of space. Why this man continues to have a forum to assault Pittsburgh's citizens is beyond me.

I've seen the one setence paragraph style creep into local sports blogs.

Re: Ron Cook: Ugh
Cripes, that article is even dumber than usual. He claims there's a scenario that would brought the Chiefs, a much easier opponent, to Heinz next weekend. Ron, the only way that would have happened is if they had beaten the Ravens, and then they wouldn't exactly be pushovers, would they?
