New Year's Plans? (Poll-related)
Happy New Year's Eve LGP! What are everyone's NYE plans this year?
For another year, the wife and I are going out to a nice dinner in Lancaster, and then coming home where we are hosting two other couples in a low-key but fun New Year's Eve, followed by mimosas and the rose parade in the morning. Three years ago today I was getting ready for a wild night out celebrating at a club in London (which was admittedly a blast), but this is definitely my preferred mode of celebration.
Regardless of how you celebrate, stay safe, and remember: buzzed driving is drunk driving.

You need to add an option for "Attending a wedding."
I hate whoever started the trend of New Year's Eve weddings.

And NYE weddings? There is no way that is seriously a trend and/or thing....adding the poll option though. That's gross.

I haven't heard of this trend. Seems pretty inconvenient. Bummer dude.nocera wrote:You need to add an option for "Attending a wedding."

Re: New Year's Plans? (Poll-related)
I'm meeting people out early tmw afternoon for day drinking and the football games. I'm actually looking more fwd to that than tonight. Might head to the casino with a couple people this afternoon then back to either a friends house or mine for the pens game. I've had some great New Years eves but also some pretty damn crappy ones so I'm pretty indifferent to this night as a whole anymore
Trying to force plans seems to always work out awful and the ones where I few people just say, hey we got no plans lets just hang out and drink seem to always be the best ones

Board games with the kids and when they goto sleep, we'll break out the Cornaleto Franciacorta Pas Dose and mionetto prosecco (wife picked them up, no idea what they are). I got the wife criterion blu of it happened one night, so we'll enjoy that with drinks and snacks. I'll probably wear silk pajamas with a tie and top hat.

Our New Year's eve has been the same for the past 4 years or so... Chinese take-out, couch, redbox, bottle of wine and/or champagne.

Going to see the Annie movie this afternoon with fam and daughter's friend, then to Nakama Wexford for early dinner, back for some board games where I will be summarily destroyed by the kid for the billionth time. Couple beers, call the parents, cool out.

Going to meet coworkers for lunch
Quick stop at the gym
Heading down to Washington to meet with friends, where we'll grab dinner, watch the pens game, and probably crash by midnight.

Yes, check that, I am going to crash Shad's party. Quick drive down the turnpike, crush a trashcan-worth of cheap hooch, techno-ralph all over Shad's neighbor, say that I'm Shad family, crash, wake up at 5 am, eat all the food, kick over a mailbox, head home.
