Re: Crosby injured
I mean other than chasing points what reason does he have to really push it. Upside if his season is over, that would make 20 seasons of a point per game.

Re: Crosby injured
He should take the time to heal up. The season is over relative to the playoffs. And if we plummet in the standings that'd be helpful moving forward. He should rest until the 4nations.

Re: Crosby injured
Puljujarvi was just sent down. Wonder if this is Sid injury related?

When Sid returns, no one is allowed to score but him. Nothing must stop his >1PPG season.

Re: Crosby injured
Rather see Sid sit out if he’s not 100%. He’s at 58 points in 55 games so he’s above that 1.0PPG to break the record so heal up, get healthy for 4 nations so he can represent his country since it’s been a while and hope he’s OK after. If he needs to shut it down that’s fine too. Just means either we tank bad and get a better draft pick or someone steps up, ideally a younger guy, to show some promise for the future. And even if it’s a vet that steps up that increases their trade deadline value.

Re: Crosby injured
Seasons essentially over, no reason for Sid to further risk exacerbating his injury.

Re: Crosby injured
So if Sid can't go tonight, should he play in the fake no-consequence tournament?

Re: Crosby injured
If he clears medically and he wants to play, I'd play Sid for that reason. Sid always wants to play, so that leaves him being fit to play.
If he is alright, let him get points against the Flyers
