PIHL & Slots for Mario Supporters to Host Rally Saturday
Members of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League and "Slots for Mario" supporters will host a rally prior to Saturday afternoon's game against the New York Islanders. The purpose of the rally is to show support for the Isle of Capri's application for the Pittsburgh slots license and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The rally will begin at noon outside of Mellon Arena, Gate 3.

For what it's worth the Post Gazette and the Trib have had basically all letters in support for the IoC plan. Hopefully people will actually get off their butts and show that REALLy support it. I've been posting the following on every message board I can find online!
Show you'd rather have the Isle of Capri slots proposal recieve the lone Pittsburgh slot license by coming to Gate 3 on Saturday February 4th at 12pm.
This slot proposal will rebuild the ailing Hill district and help it to restore it's direct connection with the city that was severed 30 years ago. This proposal ensures the Penguins future remains in Pittsburgh by building a multi purpose arena FREE of charge that will be handed over to the Pittsburgh Sports & Exhibition Authority. Don't be mistaken, the Penguins will continue to pay a lease to play there. The arena will be truly owned and operated by Pittsburgh's Sports & Exhibition Authority.
Don't let our local politicians downplay the impact of the loss of a professional sports team.
A strong public showing may increase badly needed public awareness to this proposal and it's benefits.
