Penguins' February Practice Schedule Released (23-Feb-2010)
The Penguins have released their February Practice Schedule. The team has four open practices, including another rare evening practice during their post-Olympics mini-camp, at Southpointe.

Update: The team has canceled the Saturday, February 27th practice at Iceoplex. There are now only three practices in February.

Johnson and Letestu sent down (2-Feb-2010)
The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forwards Nick Johnson and Mark Letestu to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.

Penguins come from behind to defeat Sabres 5-4 (1-Feb-2010)
The Penguins get a Sidney Crosby hat-trick in the second period and defeat Buffalo 5-4 in front of 17,029 at Mellon Arena. Mark Letestu scored his first NHL goal 47 seconds into the game but the Sabres notched the game's next three goals to grab a 3-1 lead near the middle of the second period. Crosby scored three times for his third hat-trick of the season and Jordan Staal scored his 14th of the year giving Pittsburgh a 5-3 lead after two. The Sabres got a late power-play goal but were unable to score on another power-play advantage with the goaltender pulled.
