Picked up two tall boys of Dale's Pale Ale for $4. Not bad of a deal at all and I love that beer

local GE express was closing so they marked down a lot of beers. Grabbed a couple big bottles of Delerium Noel for $7, that stuff will be good for a while, no?

I feel it may be because I'm closer to CO. It's pretty cheap for a pint.

I know its not a great beer, but you can also get a 24 oz Hop Stoopid by Lagunitas for around $4 as well here. 102 I.B.U.'s....

sampled a nice variety of beers last night:

Weyerbacher Tango - Belgian-style Dark Ale brewed with cherries. I thought this was fantastic, incredibly smooth, might be my favorite of the night

Saint Somewhere - lectio divina. cross between an abbey double and a saison, very carbonated and refreshing. nice sweetness to it.

Hangar 24 - Barrel Roll No. 5 Chandelle (#206 out of 3,060) - sour blonde ale aged in wine barrels with apricots. I've had very little sours to date, so I don't know much about them. The aroma of this was incredibly powerful once the cork was popped. My wife said she smelled feet in the next room and the aroma remained well after the bottle was finished. It was very tart, but had a nice citrus taste to it. I'm not even sure how to describe what I suppose is the funkiness of it, but man alive was it there. Wife couldn't finish it and I drank hers, this is definitely an acquired taste. I think I could get into this style.

Voodoo Brewing - Good Vibes IPA. smell is fantastic, this hits you with a big dank and juicy taste, but then sort of all fades away. there wasn't too much of a taste on the backend. Solid IPA

Voodoo Brewing - Hoodoo IPA. Pine and Citrus throughout, this one felt more complete then the good vibes. Another solid IPA.

Cigar City Jai Alai IPA - If I had constant access to this beer, it would probably be my goto IPA, just a perfect ipa all around. balance is wonderful.

Habanero Sculpin - wow is the heat prominent in this. I think the heat takes over any other taste. This was a great beer to split 3 ways, I don't think it would be possible for me to drink an entire bottle. Not my favorite, but something different to try amongst friends.

Union Jack on tap. Not sure if it's the bar or not, but I don't remember loving this beer as much as I used to.

Still good, but didn't meet the high expectations I had from getting it before

Made my yearly purchase of a case of Storm King Stout. Mmmm, so good.

On another beer topic, does anyone else drink their beer in the winter at room temperature (in my case, that is about 65F)?

Picked up a bomber of Arrogant Bastard for the first time in forever tonight. Love that beer, has so many different things going on but they all work together.

In other news, Stone is removing Ruination from distribution, and creating a "Ruination 2.0"

It was a bottle. I'm assuming a bomber, but I never found out after I heard the price.

I didn't realize Ruination came out in 2002 (which is older by craft beer standards). I loved Ruination, but if Ruination 2.0 is more like Enjoy By? Yes, please.

Room temp is too warm, but I like my stouts at probably 50-55.

OK, please come back off the ledge. Things aren’t as dire as we made them seem (purely for dramatic effect). We could never completely kill off this saintly imperial India pale ale. I mean, you didn’t really think we’d get rid of our liquid poem to the glory of the hop, did you? Yes, Stone Ruination IPA as we know it now will soon be gone, but only because we’ll be reciting the second stanza in our lupulin-laced ode, Stone Ruination Double IPA 2.0. That’s right. We’ve taken this fluid paean and everything we (and our fans) love about it, and taken it a new, loftier level. Why, you ask? ‘Tis a good and inevitable question for any discerning hophead to pose. And we have not one, but many answers to this justifiable query. It’s because, when we first released Stone Ruination IPA…
And it goes on. Actually a nice blog entry.

Just saw H1KB is taking reservations for the Sour and Funky tasting on April 18th. Is anyone else here planning on going?
