So the Pens benefited from the NHL Bruins defensive injuries. The call ups coincided with the series turnaround

They get the Blue Jackets' affiliate. May benefit from Ryan Johansen being benched.

They're playing the Lightning's AHL affiliate, not CBJ

In case anyone was wondering, 4-2 was the final score. Baby Pens play again tonight at 7PM.

dear Lord- baby Pens had 1 shot in the first period and 5 in period 2. Game 2 not going as well- out shot 27 to 6 starting the third. Down only 3-1 though

Congrats on the wing, but lets face it, you didn't have to deal with Krug or Bartkowski the second half of the series. If Krug can score four times in five games on Lundqvist you aren't gonna like what he can do to you.

Penguins' AHL team in Wilkes-Barre has signed D-men Scott Harrington and Olli Maatta to amateur tryout contracts. Both were w/London (OHL).

I believe there is an exception for junior players to allow them to play without being on the clear day roster, since rules dictate that they can't be on the roster for clear day (typically).

from the AHL:
The AHL’s playoff roster deadline will be Monday, Apr. 22, at 3 p.m. ET, by which time all 16 playoff teams must submit to the league a list of playoff-eligible players. Only those players on a team’s playoff eligibility list, plus signed draft choices and players signed to amateur tryout contracts, are eligible to compete in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Players from lower professional leagues can also be added if they played in at least eight games in the AHL and/or a lower league in 2012-13.
They can both come in and play if the coaches want them to.

Thanks. I couldn't find a source for it, but I knew I had seen players come up from junior for the AHL playoffs on several occasions.

Will Scott Harrington or Olli Maatta be ready to make a difference this late in a playoff run?

Any taxi squad callups now with WBS eliminated?
