What a terrible trade Niese was. The Pirates give up Walker for that stiff Niese. Then realizing he is terrible trade him back to the mets for a guy they could have easily signed. Great moves Pirates!! (sarcasm)
In the baseball sim OOTP '17 the first thing I did was reverse this trade. Of course, I had to put it in commissioner mode and 'force trade' to get it to go through...

Question for baseball historians. How does Big Papi's final season rank amongst single season production for players 40 years old and over? That was a pretty damn impressive year for 40.

Who trades their kid? Seriously? Detroit GM Avila, shame on you. Though the kid now has a legit shot at a ring.

How were the Bucs able to trade for Sean Rodriguez after the trade deadline? How does that work?

Anyone can be traded after the deadline. However, they must be exposed to waivers, which are revocable.
- If a team claims a player on waivers, they can work out a trade. If no trade can be worked out, the player's waiver status can be revoked.
- If a player clears waivers, they can be traded to ANY team.
As far as deadline for playoff eligibility-no clue.
As far as waiver order- no clue.
I believe the Bucs put a claim in SRod.

Everyone needs to boycott the Pirates! Nutting does not want to win only make money.
He is very good at making money. Stop giving him your money. Wake up Pittsburgh!

Maybe Trump can shoehorn something about the Pirates and Nutting in his next speech.

Trent Green makes me want to throw **** at my TV.

Two holds missed in OT too to allow the big runs.
