Well that's that. Bring on the Caps. Hope the Pens tighten it up from the first series.

Obviously only 1 game in, but I don't know how I feel about an Oilers/Predators WCF if they both win. I mean, I like it b/c it's not one of the "normal" teams and it would probably be the most entertaining matchup you can get, but it seems... wrong?

Got to love NHL replay system. First, they botch the review in a Edmonton on the Ducks first goal, clear cut interference on Talbit. Oilers lose their challenge so they can't protest the offside on their 2nd goal. Edmonton got screwed out of game 4.

I wonder if they would tweak to allow you to challenge without a timeout and if you lose the challenge, you are given a 2 minute delay of game penalty.

Not a fan of Ottawa or Guy Boucher. Overrated. Rangers could easily wind up winning 4 straight and taking that series in 6.

5 fights in last minute of OTT/NYR game last night. Both benches were nearly empty after the game misconducts and sin bin send-offs. I needed a good laugh to finish out the day and this series has delivered.

I like this idea a lot for hockey, but I think it opens up a Pandora's box if other sports were to use it as an precedent. Like NFL coaches challenging something with 15 yards of field position on the line, etc... Could snowball a bit and start to appear arbitrary.

Oilers blow a 3 goal lead in the 3rd. Inexperience vs a team who decided to finally play.

To their defense, that was a bs ruling on the Ducks tying goal. It should have been overturned and the Oilers should have won.

Kessler laying in the blue paint on all fours , then puts his stick across the goalie pads and holds the goalie's leg down . I think that qualifies as goalie interference . These games are getting hard to watch with the officiating that is going on .

Strong defense and goaltending. Forwards are good but not great. Playing well as a team from what I see. I think they can beat either Anaheim or Edmonton.

6-1 half way through the game and McDavid with zero points.

If Edmonton blows this game that might destroy the franchise.

Nashville has the potential to beat any team left. Laviolette has them playing really well.

The Preds have the capability to beat anyone right now, they are on a roll.

Nashville has allowed 14 goals in 10 games, pretty hard to lose with those numbers.

Funniest comment in the Orange County Register following the 7-1 blowout of the Ducks (regarding the officiating): "The "mighty" ducks couldn't win game 7 if Walt Disney himself was officiating."

Sens up 1 with 7 minutes left and getting a power play. This could be the end of the Rangers.

Part of me wants to see the Oilers get to the finals. Another part of me, the one where I have connections to get awesome tickets for Ducks games if the Pens face the Ducks, want to see that happen.

1-1 half way through.

Ducks finally don't choke in a home game 7. That was a great game that I could actually enjoy after the Pens win.
