Just watched Buffalo beat the Rangers and Halak in OT with a 21 year old goalie (Devon Levi) playing his first NHL game. We need someone like that.

Scary thing is Florida drafted Devon Levi in the 7th round of 2020, after taking Spencer Knight 13th overall in 2019. Imagine having a young duo like Knight and Levi in your net.

Florida ended up trading Levi as part of the Sam Reinhart deal.

Mark Madden talking to a person from NHL.com and he mentioned that the Toronto Maple Leafs have not
won a play-off series since 2004.

Folk want Dubas even though he hasn't gotten them a play off series win.

I'm a lucky penguin fan.

This aged well. :face: I hardly blame Dubas for not winning since 2004, considering he's only been the GM since 2018. They also had some brutal playoff matchup luck during his tenure. It's also pretty clear that he didn't have full say and was probably forced into moves or out of moves. MLSE runs the show.

Just watched Boston figure out how to hold a lead against the Hawks and win their home opener. Hopefully we will also figure out the lead holding thing.

That's a great hockey hit in a game full of goals.

Just watched E-Rod score a nice goal against the Craps. Looks like he still got it and I do miss him and his style of play.

Just watched Florida score on a 7 minute powerplay after 6 and a half minutes. Wonder if we would have even got a SOG after 6 and a half minutes with a man advantage. Probably we would have given up a shorty or two.

Not much going on today so I decided to watch the Stars and Preds game on NHL network. The voice sounded familiar and it was Errey. Great to hear him again. I do miss having him on Pens games.

Wow, 2 goals in last 13 seconds and Dallas comes from behind from multiple goals down for the fifth time this season. Rather impressive.

Thanks Fleury! Flyers were down 3-1 but the Flower let em come back and win in OT to move them up to number 3 in Metro.

Nice to watch Rangers lose their 4th in a row but but but the Caps jumped ahead of us with the win. Another BIG game tonight.

Real nice to see Fleury move into second place for career wins at 552 and he helped us out with the shut out against the Islanders.

Man it's a shame he likely won't get another 259 more games. I'd love to see how close he'd be to Brodeur if he could get to 1266 games played.

Either way he's a Hall of Fame goalie.

Now that was entertaining and brought a smile to my face. Flyers up 3-1 at home give up 4 goals to the horrible Sens and lose 5-3. Flyers starting to look like Pens with holding leads.

This oilers win streak is illegitimate as there’s a SO win in the middle of it and that would had been a tie when the Pens went 17 games. This is simply an unbeaten streak.

Not sure where to stick this, but I'm probably one of the few actually watching the skills competition and liking it. (except for the music)

Well that was fun to watch. Brandt Clarke scored his first NHL goal in OT to beat the Bruins. I think that also makes the Kings 3 and 1 after firing their coach. Maybe we should try it ????? Seems to be working for a few teams getting rid of stale coaches.

Best part of that news... now he won't have to achieve that milestone against the Pens! :pop:

Watching the Rags and Flyers game. Couldn't believe I heard that Matt Rempe for the Rangers has three games so far with around 9 minutes of ice time and 27 minutes of penalty box time and zero points. Guess they got that 6' 7" 240 lb. guy for ONE reason and it ain't hockey. Hope he can cause some damage to Flyers to weaken them for tomorrow. Seems to be his function.

Edit: And since I posted that Rempe had the puck bounce of him for the game winner. As long as the Flyers lose I am contented. Hopefully this will also tire out the Flyers for tomorrow.
