They are playing exactly how these coaches want them to play which is a bigger problem than if they tuned them out. But both are bad.

Yeah but it really seems like a lot of these players aren't just playing like idiots following an idiot's system... a lot of them look like they just don't care and are totally disinterested. Malkin, I'm used to, since he's always been a half effort moody disinterested mercurial player for large stretches, but beyond Crosby, lots of them just seem like they aren't interested in actually giving any extra effort to win.
