Soft goals allowed by Jarry and a PP hitting at about 10% kill Playoff chances. Throw in a stale coach and you got the trifecta.

Losing back to back home games to Washington and Buffalo isn't gonna get it done. We all know Sully isn't going anywhere. So what else can be done? I would look to move Smith. He's not fitting in. Try and bring in a different goal scorer.

I'm not interested in moving ek or Graves at this stage. I want Sullivan gone before any of those kind of moves. It's painfully obvious he's the problem on this team and has been the problem for half a **** decade.

Another game where this PP cost them.1-5,barely got the 5 on 3 with time running out on it.Likely 7-10 Games where its failure did them in.
POJ with a weak shift late in a tight game leading to the Game Losing Goal.Instead of being sound positionally gets worked and gets them beat.
Will give credit to Lukkonen and some blind luck to Buffalo.3 Posts,1 overturned Goal that was not warranted.They did little in this game.
Jarry had a decent stretch in the 2nd and half of tye 3rd but a lousy 1st Goal and down way too early on the losing goal.He continues to come up short.
Puustinen getting no ice time is a terrible call.Smith was useless tonight.No real push after the tying goal was disappointing.

A loss to a team that simply isn't that good.No doubt the excuses will get spewed out-bad luck on the posts,the overturned 2nd Goal,Opposing Goalie played out of this world,etc..... But to continue to squander these games with the PP ineptitude,lack of ability to defend late and Jarry not being able to get it done is what cost them and will continue to be the reason they likely miss the playoffs

I did like the trade for sure, but I wasn’t referring to that. It’s been his performance and impact over the first half of the season that’s the issue. I think it’s system and coaching that’s holding him back so trading for the best offensive dman in the league and not leveraging that talent to the max seems like a waste to me.
