Another loss because they didn’t play a consistent 60 minutes

Just no reason for it.And they continue to lose to teams they should beat.

Yeah, but he did a great job of serving the penalty after the failed challenge. Very solid sitting in the box, deceptively good posture.

A loss due to a lousy start, failures on the PP,inconsistent effort and very little Offense Generated.
2 late 3rd Period PP chances to affect the outcome and again cost them points.
Never saw much energy from the Team all night. After 3 days off they had zero excuse to be that flat.
Too many bad shifts from Pettersson which led to 2 Goals against. His play of late has been spotty.
Fleury is hard to root against but they didn't test him until late in the game,he had a fairly easy night.

There is nothing from this group to expect them to get on a roll to gain in the standings. For weeks they have given lip service regarding the games in hand and how it would be an advantage. And they lose in the same manner and squander another of those games.
Sullivan will continue to give the same answers and will not be held accountable for any of this. They are just not going to get it better down the stretch

Sullivan with his usual quote. He thought they competed hard and the game was back and forth.

Competed hard? I would say they competed hard for about 10% of that game.

That 10% was the first 5 minutes of the 2nd.After that, back to the 1st period game plan.

Those are the games that keep teams from making the playoffs. I figured a bad result was coming when they didn't score on that double minor early in the game. They were hosed on the game-winning goal, but I can see the refs deciding that there wasn't clear enough evidence to overturn it once it was called a goal on the ice.

Aside from the net moving when the puck hit it, I guess there was no other clear evidence besides that. Taking 7 minutes to come to the decision was absurd.

There was also a clear change in puck rotation, and a pronounced direction change. It was pretty obvious.
