Hawks have a brighter future at least.

For the first time ever, I actually feel like Sully might get fired this season.

DelPen, all I’m saying why is no one getting on EK65 for only one goal in nearly three months. If you call out one, you got to call out the other. After all he’s making 11M.

Tonight was a big deal with the Jagr #68 retirement. Then the team turns in that pathetic effort? Team ownership has to be pissed after that. They better make some heads roll after this.

I don’t even get upset anymore. Firing the coaching staff is the only solution.

I’m still banking on keefe getting canned in TOR, and Dubas fires sully and brings keefe on. GMKD seems pretty loyal to his inner circle.

It’s because EK is being wasted and ruined by the coach.

You can count on one hand the number of guys on this team earning their salary.

The question is, who's fault is that? It's obvious they've quit on Sullivan IMO. If I'm FSG and you just witnessed that horrible excuse for a hockey game from the Pens, it's time to make the ax swing. I'd be giving Sully and Reirden pink slips tomorrow AM. And then Dubas better be feeling some pressure to start dynamiting this roster as best as he can under the circumstances.

Or count on your fingers and toes all the guys that can't "fit into Sullivan's system" after playing great before, or after they leave.

But Sid. You can't do this to Sid. OMG, Sid deserves better. For Sid, you gotta try. For...Sid.

Sorry. Love Crosby to death, but sacrificing the overall well being of the team for one guy isn't how teams should be run. If blowing it up is the best decision for the team to get back to success, it's what should be done. Same with firing Sullivan, whether he's FSG's Boston golden child or not.

Sullivan system has not evolved with the game. Jagr touched on why Sid is so good. As the game changes he does too. Sully system from 2016-2017 does not work in today’s NHL. In a roubdabout way Jagr’s discussion lends credence to the importance of evolving to the newer styles of play.

So the PP cost them another 1-2 points again.Didnt come close to scoring in a tie game and give up a game losing Shorthanded Goal.Incompetence.
Jarry was strong for the first 2 Periods then got beat by a deflection and the clown show PP choking. Not on him,he gave his team a shot to win.
The thinking of signing Phillips is clueless by Dubas.Made worse by Sully sending him out there on a vital late PP.
Malkin with another invisible, zero impact effort outside of his inaccurate useless shooting.
Zero urgency, focus or intensity late in this game.Kings were gassed getting in here but the Pens made it easy for them.

A team that isnt dialed in,continues to be represented by a Coach who thinks his system is good enough to get it done, whose staff trots out a PP that has cost them a Playoff Spot and a GM who decided that Matthew Phillips would be a guy who could make a difference(which he did by contributing to the Game Losing Goal). The clear fact of not having his job in jeopardy affects the entire mentality of this Coach and his approach.Add in the GM who has watched the majority of his acquisitions offer no help via depth or positive pjay.

Jagr deserved better tonight
He made 2 excellent points when he was in the booth-the PP guys lack of willingness to shoot and Crosby having the desire and ability to play for many more years.

Watching guys like Malkin,Rakell and Smith float around and fail to produce when they were supposed to be top 6 forwards hurts them every night
The solid Goaltending from Jarry and Ned have been wasted along with another healthy outstanding season from Crosby. Its a bottom 10 Squad in this league.

I'd rather they suited up the old players in attendance for this game. Except for Artie. He ain't looking too well.

This effort rivaled the last game at the Igloo getting eliminated by a garbage Montreal team in 2010.

That's the question??? Is team ownership even paying attention? Are they just looking for the next investment??

I bet those guys standing on the ice with Jagr could've at least put up 2 goals.

That should give Dubas more ammunition to make the correct move, especially if Sullivan had a say on what players were brought in. Would put most of the blame on the coach for the players he wanted and style of system that isn't working.

And no matter what, Reirden shouldn't have a job tomorrow morning. He coaches the PP and it is god awful.

I bet Karlsson is regretting getting traded here.

It’s a tug of war between him wishing he didn’t come to Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh wishing he didn’t come to Pittsburgh.
